  1. Winapp2.ini additions

Unfortunately, Piriform never updated the manual, so the manual still only mentions Mozilla-based browsers. But it also works for Chromium-based browsers. Correct, the section "Google Chrome" in CCleaner is responsible for all Chromium-based browsers at the same time. It is not possible to clean each of them individually. If you put only the file Winapp2.ini in CCleaner's program folder, only the entries of the file Winapp2.ini will clean the Brave browser. However, if you want a complete cleaning, with the built-in entries of CCleaner, you have to add the "CustomLocation1" in your ccleaner.ini.
  2. Winapp2.ini additions

The entries are listed under the section "Google Chrome", there is no separate section "Brave Browser". The entries always clean up all installed Chromium-based browsers at once. You should also add the browser to CCleaner using one of the following methods: https://www.ccleaner.com/docs/ccleaner/advanced-usage/ccleaner-ini-files/how-to-clean-user-data-from-non-standard-mozilla-browsers CustomLocation1=CHROME|path_to_user_profile: https://forum.piriform.com/search/?q=CustomLocation1=CHROME Example: CustomLocation1=CHROME|C:\Users\<your user name>\AppData\Local\BraveSoftware\Brave-Browser\User Data\Default
  3. VIASAT Browser

The VIASAT browser seems to be based on Chromium. You can use following methods to add other browsers: https://www.ccleaner.com/docs/ccleaner/advanced-usage/ccleaner-ini-files/how-to-clean-user-data-from-non-standard-mozilla-browsers CustomLocation1=CHROME|path_to_user_profile https://forum.piriform.com/search/?q=CustomLocation1=CHROME
  4. Winapp2.ini additions

Winapp2.ini updates: https://github.com/MoscaDotTo/Winapp2/commit/988564fc44f2ac6aee6903b4894c76d28a133b36 https://github.com/MoscaDotTo/Winapp2/commit/e2a99bddbfb0102ea2bdc944d676080a1280b1df The latest version of the file "Winapp2.ini" now supports Brave Beta and Dev. You should also add the browsers to CCleaner using one of the following methods: https://www.ccleaner.com/docs/ccleaner/advanced-usage/ccleaner-ini-files/how-to-clean-user-data-from-non-standard-mozilla-browsers CustomLocation1=CHROME|path_to_user_profile: https://forum.piriform.com/search/?q=CustomLocation1=CHROME Example: CustomLocation1=CHROME|C:\Users\<your user name>\AppData\Local\BraveSoftware\Brave-Browser-Beta\User Data\Default
  5. Epic Browser

You can use the following methods to add other browsers: https://www.ccleaner.com/docs/ccleaner/advanced-usage/ccleaner-ini-files/how-to-clean-user-data-from-non-standard-mozilla-browsers CustomLocation1=CHROME|path_to_user_profile https://forum.piriform.com/search/?q=CustomLocation1=CHROME CustomLocation1=CHROME|C:\Users\<your user name>\AppData\Local\Epic Privacy Browser\User Data\Default
  6. Add Browser for autoclean

Working Example, just copy in the full path to your profile folder (doesn't matter if it's the installed version, or a portable version): CustomLocation1=CHROME|C:\PortableApps\IronPortable\Profile
  7. Add Browser for autoclean

I tried both registry and the file, nothing works. I use: CustomLocation1=CHROME|C:\Users\NAME\AppData\Local\BraveSoftware\Brave-Browser\User Data\Default
  8. Add Browser for autoclean

    CustomLocation1=CHROME|path_to_user_profile https://forum.piriform.com/search/?q=CustomLocation1=CHROME
  9. New Brave Browser Support

Did you try the following already? https://www.ccleaner.com/docs/ccleaner/advanced-usage/ccleaner-ini-files/how-to-clean-user-data-from-non-standard-mozilla-browsers I guess CustomLocation1 for Brave should be: CustomLocation1=CHROME|C:\Users\<your user name>\AppData\Roaming\brave
  10. CCleaner settings are still stored under the registry key "Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Piriform\CCleaner". The registry key "Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Piriform\CCleaner" is used for a few installation settings only. If your registry key "Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Piriform\CCleaner" is empty, then you probably enabled "Save all settings to INI file". Therefore, you have to add the CustomLocation1 to the ccleaner.ini file. And you have to specify the path to the user profile, for example: CustomLocation1=CHROME|C:\Users\<your user name>\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome Beta\User Data\Default (Quotation marks are not necessary.)
  11. This fix does not work. Ccleaner is not finding Chrome Beta in its default installation location on Windows 10: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Google\Chrome Beta\Application" Furthermore, the referenced instruction page for Mozilla browsers describes a registry edit location that doesn't exist, so this looks like an old, outdated answer that no longer applies. The registry setting is now in Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Piriform\CCleaner The supposed fix, adding a string value (in the correct registry hive) of "CustomLocation1" with data "CHROME|"C:\Program Files (x86)\Google\Chrome Beta\Application"" doesn't work. The statement that Ccleaner doesn't support beta software is irrelevant to this issue. I've been using Ccleaner with Chrome Beta for many years, and this is the first installation I have done whereby Ccleaner is not finding Chrome. This is a bug. I have paid for Ccleaner Professional. Surely there must be official product support that is not from a user-to-user forum?
  12. Running latest v5.44, installed 6/26/2018 (system rebuild). Seems that the Waterfox profile is being cleaned following the two CustomLocation1 &CustomLocation2. The Problem is Options / Cookies are not showing the Waterfox cookies in the list so I can move the wanted ones to the Keep side. This worked fine in previous versions. Had to use Chrome and go to these web sites and then view cookie and move them to the Keep side.

  15. Found some partial workarounds, until such time as Piriform fixes this (And big parts of Chrome cleaning seem to be busted). First, Add a key to CCleaner.ini: CustomLocation1=CHROME|C:\Users\{YOUR FOLDER HERE}\AppData\Local\URBrowser\User Data\Default It must be expanded because this ini file appears not to parse things like %LocalAppData%. This tells CCleaner to treat the UR Browser as any other Chromium-based browser. But, alas, it is still not shown and is processed simultaneously with Google Chrome and Vivaldi. ----------------------- To get around that: Uncheck the operations that you wish to apply to only some of the 3 browsers (EG: Clear history, clear browser session, etc.). Then add keys to Winapp2.ini to add-back in such cleaning for each browser separately. Here is the relevant winapp2.ini section that I use: ;--- Break out key Chromium browser sections separately and place the entries in the Chrome section. ;--- Internet History ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- [Internet History Vivaldi*] LangSecRef=3029 ; This next puts the entry in the right place, but overwrites the title! ;LangRef=3162 ;ID=2014 ; No apparent effect Detect1=HKCU\Software\Vivaldi Default=False FileKey1=%LocalAppData%\Vivaldi\User Data\*|Current Tabs FileKey2=%LocalAppData%\Vivaldi\User Data\*|History Provider Cache FileKey3=%LocalAppData%\Vivaldi\User Data\*|Last Tabs FileKey4=%LocalAppData%\Vivaldi\User Data\*|Network Action Predictor FileKey5=%LocalAppData%\Vivaldi\User Data\*|Top Sites FileKey6=%LocalAppData%\Vivaldi\User Data\*|Visited Links FileKey7=%LocalAppData%\Vivaldi\User Data\*\JumpListIcons|*.* FileKey8=%LocalAppData%\Vivaldi\User Data\*\JumpListIconsOld|*.* [Internet History UR Browser*] LangSecRef=3029 Detect1=HKCU\Software\URBrowser Default=False FileKey1=%LocalAppData%\URBrowser\User Data\*|Current Tabs FileKey2=%LocalAppData%\URBrowser\User Data\*|History Provider Cache FileKey3=%LocalAppData%\URBrowser\User Data\*|Last Tabs FileKey4=%LocalAppData%\URBrowser\User Data\*|Network Action Predictor FileKey5=%LocalAppData%\URBrowser\User Data\*|Top Sites FileKey6=%LocalAppData%\URBrowser\User Data\*|Visited Links FileKey7=%LocalAppData%\URBrowser\User Data\*\JumpListIcons|*.* FileKey8=%LocalAppData%\URBrowser\User Data\*\JumpListIconsOld|*.* [Internet History Google Chrome only*] LangSecRef=3029 Detect1=HKCU\Software\Google\Chrome Default=True FileKey1=%LocalAppData%\Google\Chrome\User Data\*|Current Tabs FileKey2=%LocalAppData%\Google\Chrome\User Data\*|History Provider Cache FileKey3=%LocalAppData%\Google\Chrome\User Data\*|Last Tabs FileKey4=%LocalAppData%\Google\Chrome\User Data\*|Network Action Predictor FileKey5=%LocalAppData%\Google\Chrome\User Data\*|Top Sites FileKey6=%LocalAppData%\Google\Chrome\User Data\*|Visited Links FileKey7=%LocalAppData%\Google\Chrome\User Data\*\JumpListIcons|*.* FileKey8=%LocalAppData%\Google\Chrome\User Data\*\JumpListIconsOld|*.* ;--- Browser Session ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ [Session Vivaldi*] LangSecRef=3029 Detect1=HKCU\Software\Vivaldi Default=False FileKey1=%LocalAppData%\Vivaldi\User Data\*|Current Session FileKey2=%LocalAppData%\Vivaldi\User Data\*|Last Session FileKey3=%LocalAppData%\Vivaldi\User Data\*\Extension State|*.* FileKey4=%LocalAppData%\Vivaldi\User Data\*\Session Storage|*.* [Session UR Browser*] LangSecRef=3029 Detect1=HKCU\Software\URBrowser Default=False FileKey1=%LocalAppData%\URBrowser\User Data\*|Current Session FileKey2=%LocalAppData%\URBrowser\User Data\*|Last Session FileKey3=%LocalAppData%\URBrowser\User Data\*\Extension State|*.* FileKey4=%LocalAppData%\URBrowser\User Data\*\Session Storage|*.* [Session Google Chrome only*] LangSecRef=3029 Detect1=HKCU\Software\Google\Chrome Default=True FileKey1=%LocalAppData%\Google\Chrome\User Data\*|Current Session FileKey2=%LocalAppData%\Google\Chrome\User Data\*|Last Session FileKey3=%LocalAppData%\Google\Chrome\User Data\*\Extension State|*.* FileKey4=%LocalAppData%\Google\Chrome\User Data\*\Session Storage|*.* ;--- Download History ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ; APPEARS NOT TO WORK FOR ANY CHROMIUM BASED BROWSER! ;--- Saved Form Information ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ; APPEARS NOT TO WORK FOR ANY CHROMIUM BASED BROWSER! ;--- Saved Passwords ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ [Saved Passwords Vivaldi*] LangSecRef=3029 Detect1=HKCU\Software\Vivaldi Default=False FileKey1=%LocalAppData%\Vivaldi\User Data\*|Login Data [Saved Passwords UR Browser*] LangSecRef=3029 Detect1=HKCU\Software\URBrowser Default=False FileKey1=%LocalAppData%\URBrowser\User Data\*|Login Data [Saved Passwords Google Chrome only*] LangSecRef=3029 Detect1=HKCU\Software\Google\Chrome Default=False FileKey1=%LocalAppData%\Google\Chrome\User Data\*|Login Data
  16. CCleaner for Brave Browser & Palemoon

You can use following methods to add other browsers: https://www.ccleaner.com/docs/ccleaner/advanced-usage/ccleaner-ini-files/how-to-clean-user-data-from-non-standard-mozilla-browsers Brave: CustomLocation1=CHROME|... Pale Moon: CustomLocation2=FIREFOX|...
  17. How to change browser path?

I did what you said. The browser I am using is 7 Star. Therefore I added the line below in the last row of INI file, but I still can't see the addons. CustomLocation1=CHROME|C:\Users\Administrator\AppData\Local\7Star\7Star\User Data
  18. How to change browser path?

If you're attempting to add a browser using ccleaner.ini is probably the easiest way to do it in my opinion, you can do this by opening CCleaner and then go into 'Options > Advanced' and Save all settings to INI file, then look in the CCleaner program folder for ccleaner.ini. Examples of how to properly map to a custom browser location (including portable versions of browsers): CustomLocation1=FIREFOX|C:\PortableApps\FirefoxPortableESR\Data\profile CustomLocation2=CHROME|D:\PortableApps\IronPortable\Profile
  19. Here's some examples: CustomLocation1=FIREFOX|D:\PortableApps\FirefoxPortableESR\Data\profile CustomLocation2=CHROME|D:\PortableApps\IronPortable\Profile
  20. Using only the portable versions of browsers and also not using Waterfox I've never had to input what you have at the end: \{profile folder name} Mine look like this, ends on \profile with nothing additional needed: CustomLocation1=FIREFOX|C:\PortableApps\FirefoxPortableESR\Data\profile CustomLocation2=CHROME|C:\PortableApps\IronPortable\Profile
  21. That will be this: CustomLocation1=CHROME|C:\Users\Ruben\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome Dev\User Data\Default
  22. need more help I did an entry like this: CustomLocation1=FIREFOX|c:\Users\Ruben\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome Dev\User Data\Default\ what do I need to look for as this way its not showing in the settings either And which folders do I need to include EDIT: This location is being scanned now, but which folders and is firefix itself being scanned too?
  23. ccleaner for slimjet browser?

Thanks, I got it. All right, so now back to the beginning. I have the note pad page, I have the .ini file. Now I have to add: CustomLocation1=CHROME|%UserProfile%\AppData\Local\Slimjet\User Data\Default ? where exactly? I have added it as the last line of the ini file and saved it. On the slimjet - extensions page Ccleaner is shown as enabled If that is all correct: Where do I click to clean slimjet? On the applications list of ccleaner, chrome is not listed and slimjet neither----
  24. ccleaner for slimjet browser?

Thank you both I went to where nerghal wrote, and read to add something to ccleaner.ini in the options... but there is no cleaner.ini so I tried the second version and where I was told to add FIREFOX|C:\GeckoWo\profile\sam (replacing GeckoWo with slimjet, I suppose?) in the edit string box- On the slimjet add-on page I created a shortcut to ccleaner, but all it does is open slimjet and the ccleneer homepage! As I see mta is using another entry than the oen the piriform help suggests You show CustomLocation1=CHROME|%UserProfile%\AppData\Local\Slimjet\User Data\Default Is that what I should try? It even looks a lot more sensible to a computer moron like myself...
  25. CCleaner not removing Opera cache

The Opera cache can be cleaned using CCleaner for non-standard profile-data location as following procedures: (1)Make sure your Opera items were listed in CCleaner>>Application>>Opera, if it did not in the list, you can clean internet cache only but Cookies...etc. can not be detected. (2)Add one custom location in the ccleaner.ini ,which located in the installation directory of CCleaner CustomLocation1=CHROME|D:\SlimjetUserData =>if you have already Slimjet installed. CustomLocation2=OPERA|D:\OperaProfile =>add this statement(if your "Opera>> profie>> data" all files which located in the D:\OperaProfile dedicated directory) (3)Please check and add the statement of in ccleaner.ini ,which did not and if you want to clean Cookies in the mean time (App)Opera - Cookies=True
