  1. That worked as well! Thank you so much for that. I guess both issues had to do with the whitelisted google cookies. I don't remember doing that. Maybe the new version of Ccleaner did it by default? Don't know. I've never trusted Google so, I would never whitelist it intentionally. But thanks again for your help, Megan.
  2. That did it. Thanks for that. However, I have an issue with Brave not being able to restore tabs after running Ccleaner. This was a non-issue until recently (about a week ago). I have Brave configured "on startup" to "Continue where you left off". I've been killing the browser and running Ccleaner right after for years now and had always been able to restore Brave's tabs successfully. My Ccleaner is set to receive updates automatically. Brave hasn't release an update in awhile.
  3. Started happening. Ccleaner doesn't clean Brave. No instances of Brave opened at all. Killed them all with Process Explorer. Only box I check off in Ccleaner is the "password" one as I don't want the passwords stored in Brave to be removed. After running Ccleaner successfully and open Brave browser on youtube I'm still logged in to my Youtube account. This just started happening. I'm being forced to use the browser's cleaning tool now. I'm up to date with Windows 8.1, Brave and Ccleaner.
  4. Uninstalled Ccleaner and installed the latest version today. Killed all instances of Brave with Process Explorer. Ran Ccleaner and it said the clean was successful. I opened Brave and went to Youtube. Account showed as signed out. So far so good. I went to Google.com and I appearead logged in to my Google account, the account that I also use for Youtube. So logged out on Youtube and logged in on Google.com. Started happening recently. Thanks for any help in advance.
  5. Thanks for your reply. To be honest, I don't know what it is exactly, whether cookies or cache. All I know is that Brave is not cleaning something in Brave. I'm able to press the Back button in Brave and visit previously visited pages, all after running Ccleaner. This didn't use to happen before. Never messed with the couple of extensions that I have active, which are "Roboform", "Session Buddy" and "Translator" (Tagalog to English, Spanish, etc). I set the browser long time ago to continue where it left off after restarting the browser or a crash. That's all I have done. And like I said, I always use "Process Explorer" to terminate all the processes of Brave browser in my computer before running Ccleaner. If I don't terminate them, then the Ccleaner report would show a "Skipped" entry next to all the Brave cleaning tasks. So there is never a Brave or Brave related process running in the background when I run Ccleaner. I make sure of that. Been doing this for years. This issue is something new. I don't use syncing. I'm an anti-cloud storage person (I went back to Roboform recently from Lastpass :-) to have control of my logins in my computer) and I do not use any syncing. Anything remotely similar to that that I do is just having set the browser to continue where it left off. Long ago I was having problems with Brave crashing and losing all my tabs, so I setup the browser to restore (prompt to) all the tabs. I use Session Buddy as a backup as well. I think the issue might have to do with what you said about Brave changing the cookie location. Hopefully the next Ccleaner update addresses that issue. Thanks again, nukecad.
  6. Ccleaner is not cleaning Brave browser's either cache, cookies, internet history or all of them, don't know. Tested it with youtube and this forum twice. What I did. 1. Using Process Explorer program, I terminated Brave browser, which had 7 tabs opened, including one of Youtube and one of this forum. 2. Ran Ccleaner. Report says it cleaned cache, internet history, and cookie files. 3. Opened Brave browser back up and restored tabs when asked. 4. I'm able to use the BACK button on both Youtube and this forum to view previous visited pages. 5. Had to use the browser's "Clear Browsing Data" tool to clean up the browser. Windows 8.1, 64-bit, up to date on Brave, Ccleaner and windows.
  7. THANK you for your reply, nukecad. The cleaner gets stuck (as in working hard but not frozen) cleaning up "Brave - Internet Cache". It goes through Edge, Chrome and everything else fast. It took 13+ minutes to clean up 450 megabytes worth of Brave's internet cache (mostly from Youtube and news sites). Ran the cleaner immediately after and this time it took 3 minutes for the tool to do the whole job, with an already cleaned Brave. And yes, I confirmed it is Brave's internet cache the problem by unchecking the "internet cache" box for Brave. Thanks again, nukecad.
  8. THANK you very much for your helpful reply. I understand. I just thought that Ccleaner would just delete the shortcuts that applications placed on my desktop after installation. My desktop right now almost have no visible space for files. It's full of folders, files, and shortcuts. I rarely use the applications and when I do, I never access them through the shortcuts. The shortcuts are adding clutter to my desktop. I have to manually delete them. My intention was never to save space as it is minimal savings... But I understand the intended functionality of the tool now. Thanks for that. And yeah, I need to get a bigger hard drive. Thanks for your help, nukecad.
  9. Ccleaner takes A LONG LONG LONG time to clean up Brave browser's crap. Last time it took around 5 or 6 minutes. This is been happening for a few months now. I mean, even when there is nothing to clean from Brave it could take that long.. Ccleaner gets stuck there until it finally does the job. Only happens with Brave. Windows 8.1 - 64 bit 4 Gig ram. 51 Gig free in drive out of 600+ gigs. Defrag often Keep Windows up to date Zone Alarm active Use Ccleaner maybe 3 to 4 times a day, maybe more.
  10. Ccleaner doesn't clean desktop shortcuts. Tried multiple times, even after closing and restarting the app. Cleaner is up to date. Windows 8.1, 64-bit,. 4 Gigs ram, 51 gigs of space left in hard drive out of 600+ gigs. Laptop. This was the first time I ticked the box to clean up desktop shortcuts. Been using Ccleaner for 14+ years and this is the first time I wanted to clean shortcuts in the desktop.
  11. You referring to this cache if you call it that? http://forum.ccleaner.com/index.php?showtopic=8463
  12. Any fix for this or crap cleaner is history, dead already? Do you need more money?
  13. Those instructions can't be followed, at least with the latest version of google toolbar in Firefox. There is no arrow to the right. There is an arrow to the lef and it is only to add more search engines. Crap cleaner was deleting Google Toolbar's cache, queries fine I think until this last version of FF, 2.0.01. Now it doesn't clean it anymore. I have a ton of google search words, phrases showing up and I have no idea how to delete them. If wife sees them queries, she'll make me lap water out of the backyard ditch twice a day, for a month. Please CC guys, fix this!
  14. I have Firefox 2.0.01 and CC doesn't clean at all the Google Toolbar cache. It used to up to the last version of Firefox but not this one. I have tried to clean them all ways possible unsuccessfully. I even reinstalled firefox, crap cleaner and still doesn't clean it. I see other users are having the same problem. I have XP.
