Installing the portable version, and then deleting the dat file worked. It works well now, thank you.

I get this error as well, and followed Andavari's recommendations but the same error occurs. Any idea when a solution is going to be implemented? This is happening to a lot of people, and it's not the first time it has happened.

This is the exact same error I get. I have completely deleted Ccleaner and tried to re-install it, but still doesn't work. I also tried to delete the open processes of Cclaner in task manager, but no matter what I try I get that same error you get. I hope this is resolved soon. I tried finding an older version of Ccleaner but no luck. Not to mention the fact that Ccleaner will try to update itself even if I find an older version.
