Altius

Hello, Recently, a USB flash drive I use suddenly turned raw; I tried to use several tools to fix this, but unsuccessfully. Then, I quick-formatted it, and tried to use Recuva to see if I can get any of the files back. What happens is that while it deep-scans, it displays a message of having found 21 files, but once the scan is finished, the list shown is empty. Would anyone be able to advise on how to approach this? Thanks.
