So is there not anything one can do to open their Word files? This makes me feel like Recuva is not worth the $$. I have PDF, Excel etc that I cannot open.

I want to do a deep scan on an external drive however whenever I launch Recuva it automatically defaults to the c drive. Is there a way to have the program open to a drive menu? Thank you, Leslie
