  1. I have a second hard drive that has stopped allowing me to access the files I have on this drive. I have a fast SSD drive as my first boot drive, this second drive was a 1GB regular hard drive to use as mass storage, internal to my desktop system. I am running Windows 10, 64 bit. Using File Explorer, it will show me the folders present but won't allow me to see inside these folders. My understanding is Recuva would look at crashed hard drives and attempt to get the files so I could copy them off. All I get is after a few minutes, it tells me that the software can not determine the file system on that hard drive. I first used the normal scan feature and then I have used the option for recovering non-deleted files from a crashed system, both of which tells me the same thing. I have not tried the deep scan option but I would guess I would get the same message as the file system can't be identified. I bought the professional version of the software and expected it to do miracles but it is not doing that yet. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.
