I've been using CCleaner for a long time in Windows environment and regarded it as a very good product!
Suppose it still is but for the moment it isn't working correctly on my Mac regarding deletion of or erasing the internet history in Chrome. Cookies are deleted, trash bin is emptied ..., but not the internet history.
I'm running Chrome version 55.0.2883.95 (64-bit) and the OS is macOS Sierra, version 10.12.2 . I'm using the CCleaner free version 1.14.451. It would be nice if you can find a reason to this. I can see that the file History, History-journal and maybe other related files in the Users/<user>/Library/Application support/Google/Chrome/Default directory remain untouched after I've been running CCleaner. This is of course one of the main reasons for running CCleaner, to among other things easily wipe out the internet history for the computer. Kind regards /CW
