  1. I recently downloaded the latest version of recuva. I ran it on an external 2tb sata drive that is usb3. It scans for 24 or so hours and then pulls up the list. I can preview files without issue. However when I go to recover x amount of files ( not everything at once, just 5,000 or so files at once) it starts working but then the program completely freezes. I am unable to close it or do anything and the hard drive stops responding through recova. I can access the hard drive and it does not have issues. I have to close it down through task manager which in turn closes it and then I have lost 24 hours of time in getting files recovered. I find this unacceptable and believe that recuva should have a way to save the log of what is found like other programs do which would make rescanning unnecessary . I am currently at work and need to know what would be needed from me to submit to find a solution. There are close to 2 million files found. I am a photographer and deleted this drives contents due to having moved everything to a larger drive that physically died. I might also note that I have used recuva on a 750gb and 320gb drive without issue. It seems that recuva does not play nice with very large drives. Specs of my system: Intel socket 1150 3.0ghz dual core 16gb of ram 250gb Samsung ssd as main drive 750gb regular sata drive 3tb regular drive 2tb external drive (the one being scanned) Windows 10 pro with all updates Nvidia gtx 950 video card
