  1. Hi, thanks for your comments. We recently had to make these changes to CCleaner because of changes that Microsoft have made to the way that IE stores data. The data that you're trying to clean is now saved in a database similar to Edge which cannot be cleaned while IE has access to it. Reverting to an older version of CCleaner like 5.19 will only resolve the issue if you're using an older version of Windows and IE, however if you're running the latest version of these, CCleaner will not clean IE correctly and will not warn the user of this. This does mean that for the current and future versions of CCleaner, IE will need to be closed to be cleaned. We understand that this may be frustrating for some users but unfortunately this is our of our control. Thanks!
  2. Hey there Firstly, please let me apologize for any confusion regarding your CCleaner Professional license. When you purchase CCleaner Professional, you can use the Professional license for as long as you would like, the product won't stop working and you'll retain the majority of the "Pro-Only" features, such as multi-user account cleaning and Active Monitoring. After one year, the license expires which means that the product will no longer update automatically, and you will no longer be entitled to priority support. Other than that, the product will continue to work as normal. I did look through our support system for your email, however I was unable to find it - could you let me know what email address you sent it to, and what email address you sent it from? I hope however, that this has cleared up any confusion for you
  3. Hi there CCleaner is compatible with MacOS Sierra, you'll just need to download the latest version from our website! Thanks!
  4. Hi there I think that uninstalling completely and reinstalling is a good place to start. If this doesn't work could you please email support@piriform.com and one of our agents will be able to help you! Thanks
  5. Morning Tommy23. We often see an increase in ticket numbers after a release which is why nobody has got back to you yet. I've located your ticket and replied to you myself My apologies that you didn't hear from anyone else sooner!
  6. Morning, I'm glad that we've worked out what has caused the issue! The Intelligent Cookie Scan just runs during the installation and moves any cookies that it believes you may want, to your 'Cookies to keep' list. If you go to Options > Cookies then you can find the cookies in question on the list on the right, and move them to the list on the left (Cookies on Computer). Once they're in this list, CCleaner will start removing them again. Tom
  7. Hi Olanho, Could you confirm to me which service pack you have installed on XP? If you're not sure, you can find instructions on how to find this out here: https://answers.msn.com/solution.aspx?solutionid=23904a8f-735b-40f9-b609-544b95a5729b Thanks, Tom
  8. Hi inojim, It sounds like you might have Intelligent Cookie Scan enabled which is saving both your Google and Piriform cookies by default. Could you please go to Options > Cookies and remove both Piriform and Google from the list and see if the problem persists? Thanks, Tom
  9. Thanks for that information, I've passed it up to the development team. They've assured me that this is an issue they're hoping to fix but couldn't put a firm date on it They did also tell me that Defraggler should apply logic to the defrag, however it's possible that it perceives a better overall drive health from defragmenting the entire drive even if it will only save a tiny amount of space. I'm not sure why the other applications listed would perform 'better', although I presume they're less sensitive to very minor improvements to save realigning the whole drive for very small gain, unlike Defraggler. This could be seen as a positive or a negative I think, depending on how you look at it, although personally I think that defragging a whole drive for next to no gain seems rather pointless and a waste of drive life. I've made the suggestion on your behalf therefore, that there should be an option to have a threshold to applied which will only defragment recently edited files, when the overall gain from defragmenting is low. Thanks, Tom
  10. Hi razerphynx! I'd be more than happy to help with these. There are some detection issues with Defraggler we regret Could you please download Speccy off our website https://www.piriform.com/speccy and let me know if this too reads the drive type incorrectly? If you could also tell me the make and model of the drive that would be particularly useful. As for your second question, I'm going to speak to the development team about this so I'll get back to you both when I hear back from them
  11. Morning everyone. Firstly Ramzy, please accept my apologies for not responding to this. It was by no means intentional. I do try to look at as many threads as I can but inevitably, some slip through the net Personally, I'm not sure as to the exact mechanics of Defraggler and how it works out the process to use. I will speak with the development team about this to try and get a better understanding which I can feed back to you. In the mean time, could you please PM me with the names of the competitors that you felt were doing the job that you required? This will allow us to take a look specifically regarding your question. I would like to add that the competition rule has been in place for a long time, so please don't feel that Nergal was being overzealous, as he was just enforcing this. As soon as I've got some more information, I will let you know Tom
  12. Hi, could you email our support team at support@piriform.com and they will be able to look into this for you. Thanks Tom
  13. Hi Stokesson! I'd be happy to look into this for you Could you please run CCleaner in debug mode? To do this: 1 - Click the Windows Start button, then type 'Run' in the search box 2 - In the Run dialog box, type: C:\Program Files\CCleaner\CCleaner.exe /debug 3 - The application will start with DEBUG MODE displayed on the interface 4 - Now, use the application normally to recreate the issue you are reporting 5 - Once finished, please close the application 6 - A log file will be in C:\Program Files\CCleaner\ in the format: ccleaner_[version][date|time].log. Could you either upload that file here, or email it to us at support@piriform.com and reference this thread in your email

  16. Hi! We are working hard on CCleaner Cloud Mac at the moment but unfortunately, I'm not able to reveal much more than that! If you haven't already, I'd suggest signing up to our newsletter as release information will be announced in there https://www.piriform.com/subscribe Tom
  17. Hi shockleyphoto. I can see that you have CCleaner Mac Professional, so if you could email us at support@piriform.com then one of the team will be able to help you! Thanks
  18. Hi there Thanks for the notification. We are aware that there are some issues. If this continues for you, please let me know! Thanks.
  19. Hi there Did this problem only occur after the registry clean?
  20. Hi Dave, I will certainly pass that suggestion onto the right team
  21. Hi again, To re-install Windows, you would need your license/product key
  22. The serial key is the unique identifier for that piece of software, where was the license/product key is just a code that unlocks the software to make us usable. In other words, the serial key is like your address, but the product key is like the key to your front door. I hope that helps
  23. Hi, The key displayed by Speccy is the Windows serial key, and not the license key that is used to activate Windows. I hope this clears up any confusion
  24. Hi! Thanks for pointing this out. It's not something that I've seen before but I've reported it and it's now being investigated.
  25. Hi again - can you please try again now and confirm if it's now working for you? Thanks
