Usually if you purchase a new licence using the same email address then the time remaining on the old will be added to the new, it happens automatically but can take up to a day to happen.
However there are a couple of circumstances where it doesn't happen automatically, and this looks like one.
As it looks like it's more than 90 days before the old licence expires then you'll need to contact support about getting them merged.
Send them an email at support@ccleaner.com asking for a 'licence merge' of the old and new licences.

I've managed to turn it on now, so can see what's happening.
And yes, whatever it is supposed to be doing, it's just scanning and then showing a blank window instead of any kind of results
A post on another forum has said the same.I've asked the staff about it.

Malwarebytes doesn't normally affect CCleaner.
Does your CCleaner run normally apart from this Driver Updater issue?
Is this internet block happening when you search for drivers, or when you actually try to update any drivers that have been found?
(Do you know if it's a particular driver?).Malwarebytes (or Defender) may not like/trust a particular website that Driver Updater is trying to connect to, in which case it would block that connection.
Whilst it's unlikely that is happening, to rule out Malwarebytes as the cause of the block you could try temporarily turning off the RTP modules in Malwarebytes, see below. (Don't forget to turn them back on).
But be aware that if it is Malwarebytes blocking the connection then that's probably for a good reason. (Although it could be a false positive).~~~~~~~~~~~~
Malwarebytes Current version is 4.5.7.186, Update package 1.0.53445, Component package 1.0.1645.Malwarebytes Premium (Pro) always runs Real Time Protection unless you specifically disable it.
Malwarebytes can also scan your system and files for anything unusual/nasty - either on an automatic schedule, or if you do a manual scan.
(The Free version has no RTP and only does manual scans).
Malwarebytes Real Time Protection setttings look like this, these are all turned on - slide the button to the left to turn a module off:

That is in the Registry Cleaner, it would remove that registry entry and not the MRT.exe itself.
I'd leave it alone. - In fact the official advice is to leave the Registry Cleaner alone unless you have a specific issue you are trying to fix.

The Browser Plugins tool is not realy something I've used, I managed them in the browser itself, so I hadn't noticed just what was in there these days.
Looks like that tool could do with a major update.
I'll flag it up, but I wouldn't hold your breath for a quick change. -
Brave is a Chromium based browser; do your plugins show up under Chrome?

I don't recognise just what that is - but it isn't CCleaner.
It looks like it is some application that is monitoring and showing your internet connection speeds.
(The dial and those numbers look like Download/Upload speeds). -
When something lets (part of) CCleaner run only once, and then not again unless you reinstall CCleaner, then it's usually an AntiVirus/Firewall doing the blocking.
Which AntiVirus are you using and what version is it at? (Version number please, not just 'up to date').
It also helps if we know your Windows version/build and CCleaner version.
Having said that, if this happens when you are trying to actually update a driver then it could simply be that the particular server that CCleaner is trying to fetch the update from is not available (at that time).
That would show the same 'not connected' error message.
But in that case a reinstall shouldn't work either. -
Hi,
"Run a one-time clean with the custom clean tool on startup" does not put an icon on the taskbar.
It simply runs a clean in the background when you startup and then closes.
It very briefly puts an icon in the System Tray while it cleans, but it's often that quick that you don't notice it.Are you meaning that you want a CCleaner icon on the Taskbar, or are you meaning you want one in the the System Tray?
(The System Tray is the area to the right of the taskbar which contains the Clock, speaker icon, wifi icon, etc).If you are meaning the main Taskbar then:
- Open CCleaner.
- Right-Click the icon that appears in the Taskbar.
- In the menu that pops-up select 'Pin to Taskbar'
- It will now stay there when you close the CCleaner window.
Yours may (will) look different to this but the 'pin' option should still be there:
However if you are meaning the system tray:
2 things in CCleaner will run in the background, and so Windows will put an icon in your System Tray if you select either or both:
- Options>Updates>Keep CCleaner updated automatically.
- Options>Smart Cleaning>Enable Smart Cleaning
There is also the old legacy setting - Options>Advanced>Minimise to system tray.
If ticked then that will put an icon in the tray when you minimise the User Interface, it's not realy needed in newer windows versions where you can simply pin CCleaner to the taskbar instead.Registry:
I suspect that your registry issue is the 'Speech Runtime' toast notifier?
That, (and there are a few others), is needed by Windows and if you remove it then it will always come back.
NOTE - We recommend that you don't use the registry cleaner on a regular basis.

Just to note that since changing that downloads behaviour setting my downloading is back to how I like it.
For information the setting is:
browser.download.improvements_to_download_panel change it to false if you want the old behaviour.Note that the setting may be removed in some future update, but for now it does the job.

My v5.91 is now taking 1 to 3 seconds to open, - when I first got it it was taking about 8-15 seconds to open.
The previous 2 versions were also very slow to open for me.I noticed that mine had speeded up again after I had installed the optional Windows Cumulative Update last week (KB5011543).
So I'm figuring that it's a Windows issue slowing down CCleaners opening, probably something in the security suite.If you don't do optional updates then you should get it in the Windows Patch Tuesday updates, which should be 12th April

Using an INI file does not prevent you from changing the settings, the INI only saves the changes made.
I'm afraid that without knowing the settings, it's hard to say more about why you couldn't change them.

The downloads in Firefox 98 are totally messed up for me at the moment.
It's a guessing game when I click on something whether it will open in the associated app, or be saved to the download folder, or in some cases both.
(And despite what the Mozilla documentation says , it doesn't always also save files that are opened).
There are also issues with setting the associated apps in the first place.From what I'm reading most of this is intentional, it's now putting them in 'Downloads' instead of'\windows\temp' although nobody seems to know why they have changed this behaviour (possibly it's because of an obscure 'drive by' attack method seen in Chrome?).
Of course you could just regularly/automatically clear out the downloads folder, but there is often stuff in there that I want to keep for a while.

You can do that by saving the settings to a .ini file.

Also copy/type the command carefully -
In your post above you have misstyped it as "C:\$Rercycle.bin" and you have not put a space between "/s" and the "/q"
Either of those errors would cause the command to fail.

I've just tested those settings here and while the number shown in the tray updates in real time the one displayed on the tooltip doesn't.
That's expected though, just move the pointer off the icon/number and back, the tooltip will update each time.
I'm not sure why you would want to have both enabled at the same time.
If you can already see the number in the tray then why see it again in the tooltip?What do you have the "Refresh every # secs" set to for the number shown in the tray?
Of course it could simply be that your CPU temperature isn't changing much.
If yours does appear to be stuck after a start-up (until you open/minimise Speccy) then I'd suggest you try giving it a shake by doing the following:
- Untick all those tray options and close Speccy,
- Restart (not shutdown/boot) your computer,
- Open Speccy and reset the options to display the CPU temperature in the tray, with a refresh rate of 1 second,
- Minimise Speccy and see if the number in the tray is updating now.
- Restart the computer again and see if the number in the tray is updating now.
