  1. Sorry dunno, but it will be interesting if you do find the cause. (If it was something that CCleaner was doing then I'd expect a lot of shouting here). I'd suggest that it's something in the settings for those browsers on that particular machine. Or it may be the particular websites hosting the video content that is suddenly being being blocked? Maybe check your browser security settings to see if they have changed? I know they change them regularly. eg. Recently both Firefox and Edge suddenly started blocking content on my electricity suppliers website for some reason - no warnings, just that suddenly certain parts of pages would not display anymore, dropping the browser security back to standard in each browser fixed it.
  2. There are a number of tools that claim to be able to repair corrupted .fit files. I've never had to use any so couldn't comment on them, but as the .fit format is developed by Garmin then that's probably the one to try first. In your browser search "repair a fit file".
  3. Thanks for that, I've let the staff know so that it can be corrected.
  4. Firstly- Your chosen username is in contravention of the forum rules/guidelines. Please read the guidelines, particularly Number 3, and re-register with a different username if you wish to continue posting here, thanks for understanding. To answer your question: What you are seeing is because your C: drive is an SSD. Wiping free space on a SSD is not required nor recommended. (Unless perhaps if it's an external drive connected via USB). The internal TRIM and Garbage-Collection process that are standard with SSDs effectively wipes them anyway. CCleaner will let you Wipe the free space on a SSD if you realy want to, but it will restrict that to a one pass wipe to avoid using up the SSDs write cycles unecessarily. Being honest one pass is all that you need on any drive nowadays, and the multi-pass wipes are a 'left over' from years ago when some older types of drive may have benefited from them. (Some specialist drives may still benefit, but not ones that you are likely to have at home). Doing more than one pass is just wasting your time, and slightly shortening your drive life, that's not a great concern though unless you are wiping frequently.
  5. Sorry, As a moderator I am not going to post unofficial tweaks on the open forum. If users were meant to be able to do things like that themselves then there would be an option for it in the CCleaner settings. I have already given you quite a big clue in that it can be done, and as you say that you are familiar with the registry editor then that should be enough for you to be able to work it out yourself. (One more clue - there are now 2 different Software Updaters in CCleaner). Frankly anyone who is unable to work it out for themselves shouldn't be 'playing about' in the registry at all, they are liable to break something important. Note to everyone reading - Don't mess with the Windows Registy unless you know what you are doing - You could break something or even 'Brick' your machine.
  6. Agreed, a reinstall of the browser would have undone anything that you had done - so it must be something else. Note that if the plugins that you removed are not part of the browsers 'default set' then you would need to reinstall those 'extra' plugins again after reinstalling the browser. eg. By default Firefox installs the "OpenH264 Video Codec" and "Widevine Content Decryption Module" plugins when you install Firefox, but depending on just what you are wanting to watch you may need others as well. (As you say that you can see Youtube video then that will be the OpenH264, so it sounds like whatever else it is you are trying to watch needs another, different, codec/plugin). PS. If I'm watching video from anywhere except Youtube then I download it and play it in VLC media player which has lots of codecs included.
  7. Sounds like it has disabled the plugins like you asked it to do. (In particular the video plugins/codecs). Re-enable/reinstall the plugins? Or reinstall the browser(s) If you want/need to go that far.
  8. Yes. the software updater can often know a few days in advance of updates that aren't on a softwares website yet. Many softwares will have the updates available first, and only a day or two later post them on their websites and push them out to automatic updates and those checking within the software. See for yourself if the Tbird website and/or 'check for updates' in T'bird has an update available in a few days. (PS. If you know where to look you can often find a new version of CCleaner before it is put on the website and pushed out to users).
  9. You will have to contact customer support, we cannot access accounts or licences on the forum. It's actually pretty easy to contact CCleaners' support. - There is even a blue 'contact' link in your screenshot. (Did you not see it). As well as clicking on such 'contact' links in the messages and elsewhere - You can raise a support ticket by using the form here: https://support.ccleaner.com/s/contact-form?language=en_US&form=general (Select Kamo in the 'Product' field, do make a note of the ticket number that you will be given onscreen). Alternatively you can contact CCleaner support by emailing them: support@ccleaner.com If you have bought CCleaner Premium then you also have access to 24/7 live chat, see your Premium purchase receipt for the link. When using the form or email you will get an automated reply email (with some suggestions for fixes to common issues), which will be followed up later by an email from a real person. You will be in a queue and so it may take time for your ticket to reach the top of that queue and a support agent, in busy times when there are lots of requests in the queue that can take a week or more. Please be paitent and wait for a person to reply - Don't send another request unless you need to correct something in your original. If you do that then the automated queuing system will (automatically) consider it a correction to your original request, so the automated system will join them together and put them back to the bottom of the queue as one new request.
  10. In CCleaner you can click on 'My Account' (top right) where there is a 'Manage my Account' option.
  11. So you thought that you'd "urgently" reply almost 5-years later? Please read the date of posts before replying.
  12. I'd suggest the same as lmacri, try using the version that you can download at portableapps.com It isn't 'official' of course because it's a repackage, (but Piriform/CCleaner currently turn a blind eye to that). As for those four IP's 'whois' will tell you who there are, https://who.is/ But to save everyone reading this searching: The second one is Google LLC. https://www.globaldata.com/company-profile/google-llc/ The others are Akami tecnologies inc. - A content delivery service: https://www.akamai.com/
  13. Can you explain more what it is that you are wanting to do? Just what part of CCleaner do you want to whitelist an app in? (and what app is it?) Health Check, Custom Clean, Software Updater, somewhere else?
  14. It may just be that they are busy at support then. I'd say give it another week and if nobody has got back to you by then let us know and we will try to give them a poke for you. PS. I'm not sure if it's a translation misunderstanding there but the email address to send support requests to is not a gmail it's - support@ccleaner.com or by using the online request form at: https://support.ccleaner.com/s/contact-form?language=en_US&form=general However of you have already sent an email to the right place then please do not send another yet because doing so can actually slow down a reply.
  15. It can take a while for a support person to get back to you, especially if/when they have a lot of requests to deal with. Did you use the same email address as when purchasing? PS. Was it CCleaner Premium that you purchased? Your screenshot says CCleaner Professional. If it was Premium then there will be more details in your purchase email about the Premium "Live Chat" Support that you paid extra for: https://www.ccleaner.com/ccleaner-premium-bundle
  16. I have merged your two threads about the same topic. Firstly:- The Portable is not meant to be installed - (the clue is in the word "Portable"). If you do install it then it will behave like the CCleaner installed versions. Except that as you note it doesn't have UI buttons for Driver Updater or Performance Optimiser, because those need an installed CCleaner and the Portable is not meant to be installed. Note that the Software Updater, whether the one in Health Check or the one in Tools, cannot update anything in the Free CCleaner versions anyway. In Portable (not installed) it can't even check for new sofware versions because it doesn't 'phone home', HC ignores that in Portable (not installed) but if you try to use the seperate Tool to do a software scan then you get an error. Second: As for your above registy tweak*, and whether you can remove the Health Check button from the UI: Removing the button from the UI can be done but isn't meant to be done, (and you neeed to change more than simply one reg entry), but if you do that then it will just come back again next update. *As no doubt your registry tweak above will also revert to default with the next CCleaner update. There is also no guarantee that those reg entries will not be altered (or even renamed or removed) in future. It's much easier all round to simply install the correct CCleaner and then ignore Health Check if you don't want to use it. You can easily set CCleaner so that it always shows you Custom Clean on opening, and then you can toally ignore Health Check if you want to. (I have mine set like that). Options>Settings>CCleaner Home Screen PS. If you do block CCleaners' outgoing connections then certain functions will not work properly or not work at all. CCleaner needs those connectons to function properly, you either accept that or don't use CCleaner. Your choice. (But if you do block any/all of the connections then please mention that fact if/when coming back here for help because your CCleaner is then not working as it should do).

    Is it legit?

As long as you don't click on anything on a webpage then it's unlikely that you'll get anything 'nasty' from that webpage. If you want to reassure yourself then do a threat scan of the machine. Windows Settings>Update & Security>Windows Security>Vurus and threat protection>Quick scan. PS. Malwarebytes Browser Guard will warn/block you if you try to go to a dodgy website. It's an AddOn available for most browsers and it's FREE. https://www.malwarebytes.com/browserguard (Ignore that "$35.99 value" crap it's just marketing bull, MBG browser extension has always been Free for anyone to use. You don't need to have the full Malwarebytes to use the browser guard).
  18. What are the actual 3 drivers that wouldn't update?

    Is it legit?

The cleverbridge email address looks OK, and while 2 months may be considered early by many people marketing people would no doubt say that it's just "giving plenty of notice". I suspect that if your friend simply ignores it they will get another reminder nearer their expiry date.
  20. Good to hear that worked as it should. I will lock the thread and mark it as Solved so others may find it useful.
  21. You can lookup your CCleaner licence details here: https://www.ccleaner.com/support/license-lookup You can lookup your Cleverbridge reference here: https://www.cleverbridge.com/?scope=cusecolp Hopefully those details should then let you use 'Manage Subscription' without involving support. PS. Although the automated reply email is quick, and it will be that that is asking why, you are in a queue and support can take a while these days for an actual person to get back to you - and sending further requests before that happens actually slows the response down. While you are stiil in the queue for a person to reply then each time you send a new one in the system collates it with you previous unanswered ones as all one new request with updated info, and they all get put to the back of the queue again. It's done like that so that all the latest information about your issue is in one place when a support person picks up your request from the queue. (Putting that to the back prevents attempts at queue-jumping). Once you have had a reply from a real person then you are no longer in the queue and return emails to that reply go on your already open case.
  22. To save you reading all of that earlier thread - there was an issue but it has now been resolved in CCleaner v6.23. If you update your CCleaner to v6.23 you will no longer see those 'extension' entries listed.
  23. It's a support ticket system. not live chat. At busy times it can take a week (or more if they are very busy) to get a reply from a support person. I agree that it isn't ideal, but it is what it is and so you have to have patience.
  24. We have no access to financial accounts on this forum, for security reasons only support can deal with financial issues.
