  1. I can confirm this issue. See attached Event Viewer log. Also take a look at http://social.techne...b7-d512ff642db5 .

  3. Sorry, I posted too quick, this seems to be a firefox bug: firefox 3.5 itself removes the blocked sites when you choose to "clear history when firefox closes" and tick "site preferences" in the settings...
  4. I use spybot s&d and spywareblaster to block cookies from some sites. Ccleaner removes these blocked sites from the firefox config (tools/options/privacy/accept cookies from sites/exceptions). Imho ccleaner should not touch security settings. Can this be fixed?
  5. Ccleaner is running/opening slow on vista when used with ie8 in combination with immunization of spybot s&d and/or spywareblaster... Can this be fixed?
  6. Removal of digital editions is only done if you tick Adobe Flash Player. CCleaner deletes then the file C:\Documents and Settings\Account\Application Data\Macromedia\Flash Player\www.macromedia.com\bin\digitaleditions2x0\digitaleditions2x0.exe, which seems to be the executable of Adobe Digital Editions. Imo it should be better not to remove this...
  7. Symantec fixed this issue through LiveUpdate: see also the link in my previous message...
  8. Maybe we're searching in the wrong direction: http://www.dslreports.com/forum/remark,17014169 .
  9. I created a new admin user: norton bin is broken here too... For what's it worth: I attached a log file created by total uninstaller when installing ccleaner. At first sight nothing is refering to norton or symantec... Imo ccleaner doesn't break the norton bin when installing but corrupts it somehow later on. So the problem seems to be deeper in the progam... Any ideas? ccleaner.txt ccleaner.txt
  10. Perfect solution! Others solutions of the same kind (from good to better):- format your pc - use mac os - use linux - destroy your computer and never use one again - commit suicide. I think these solutions are as good as the one you're providing...
  11. Who has a solution for this problem? What does NOT help: - checking/unchecking options in ccleaner - reinstalling norton. Hint: the solution has to be related to something that is changed in the most recent version(s) of ccleaner, because everything was working perfectly before...
