Why does CCleaner wipe out all restore points? I had to disable then enable Restore to get it to work again, but all my previous restore points are GONE!! Help Danl

I too, have had similar problems since installing CCleaner. I too, cannot go back more than 1 day on restore. All my old restores are gone!! My entire system is running slower. I feel certain that since other have reported some of these issues it is in fact CCleaner that is causing these problems. I read and followed the guide and found NO cautions in this area. Please help us to find out what is causing this. Loosing old restore points is really a concern. I want to have faith in CCleaner, but am a little worried about it. It did find 100's of "crap" files and freed up almost a gig of space. It seems to me this should make my system run faster, NOT slower. Help!!!! Danl

Thanks I have run all my spyware and antivirus programs and found nothing. I have tons of drive space. I will try turning restore off then back on after booting. No biggie cuz I have NO restore points showing now except the current day. This worries me, as I always create a new one every week. Don't know why they are not there now. When I click back on the calendar nothing happens, which I suppose, tells me there are not points there. I appreciate the input. I'll keep trying. danltb

Glad to hear CCleaner does not touch restore. My settings are at 1900megs, so that is plenty of space. Thanks

Does CCleaner do anything with the restore function? I have noticed that since installing CCleaner and opting to have it run at start up, I do not have any restore points, except the one for the present day. I create restore points every week and they are not there. Am I missing something that CCleaner does to restore? Thank You Danlt
