  1. After taking the update to 1607, CCleaner was removed. Speccy was left intact.
  2. I dislike very much that MS just takes it upon themselves to remove s***. I was only notified about Speccy being removed, it told me nothing about CCleaner being uninstalled too. If the programs are no longer compatible with Windows 10, I would rather keep the files and be shown an error on launch instead.
  3. Unless it hasn't been used yet, that's not what I'm seeing: Also this: I decided to extract the new version, and move over the .ini from the previous version. No issues as far as i can tell.
  4. Good idea, I may rename my folder too. So you recommend just extracting on top of the old? I suppose if anything ever did go wrong, it would be easier to fix.
  5. I don't understand, how would i do that? Do i extract the contents of ccleaner508 into the ccleaner502 folder? If i have this right, Windows may ask to replace each and every file inside.. and that doesn't seem right. Couldn't I just copy the ccleaner.ini file inside the ccleaner502 main folder, and overwrite the .ini inside the ccleaner508 folder, or is that a bad idea??
  6. I want to update CC portable from 5.02 to 5.08, but how do i keep my settings (ticks/cookie exclusions/etc) intact?
  7. I use Chrome and occasionally run into crashes using Google Images. The only way to fix them is to remove all the google.com cookies, but I hate removing them because i always have to sign back into the Google account afterwards. Google often leaves around 20-30 cookies on my computer, but which cookie is the one responsible for remembering Google account sign-in info?? I want to save it in the Cookies To Keep list.
  8. I think it's good advice to uninstall first, but some of these newer programs (e.g. Malwarebytes) seem to install updates right on top of existing installations. That reminds me, can CCleaner be uninstalled using CCleaner? Are there any differences in the portable version over these exe versions? With the portable ones, i think you can just delete them..? I would actually prefer that, but only if there were no major sacrifices in features.
  9. Can i install CCleaner without having to uninstall the previous version? Or should i uninstall the old first, then install the new?
