  1. I concur with jcgtreize. VOB files (as well as IFO and BUP files) should be accounted for in the Video category. Of course, home video recorders do not usually create IFO or BUP files.
  2. Oh, believe you me, my nephew doesn't have any use for it either. If it is not a computer game, he won't touch it. No offense is meant to the video gamers though; actually, one of my old pals used it extensively for writing walkthroughs, planning clan-related activities, creating blog posts and writing everything the needed to be written, which had always something to do with video games.
  3. Wow. That was a depressing comment. OneNote is like the most useful Office app ever. It totally replaces Word and Sound Recorder for me. I use it for almost everything. Its easy and doesn't need one to constant hit "Save..." button.
  4. Hi. I'd like to report a bug in Speccy 1.27.703 in its .NET Framework version detection. It reports: Well, the 4.5 ones are wrong. I have .NET Framework 4.5.2 installed. For more information on how to correctly detect installed .NET Framework version, please see: "How to: Determine Which .NET Framework Versions Are Installed". MSDN. Microsoft. I actually tried those instructions with Windows PowerShell. Best regards, Codename Lisa
  5. Hi. I am here to report a bug about Speccy 1.27.703. The computer running it is a Windows 7 SP1 (x64) with all Microsoft updates for Windows and Office already installed. (I have a subscription that allows me to install updates at the same time or slightly sooner than when they appear on Windows Update.) If I run Windows Updates, it reports nothing to install. (Occasionally, I miss something, Windows Update reports it and I install it.) Now, attached below is a hotfix report from Speccy, which is wildly wrong. It reports numerous updates "not installed"; occasionally, there are some updates listed both under "Installed" and "Not installed", which makes even less sense. I tried to reproduce it on a virtual machine, i.e. I installed Windows 7 and then every single update that Microsoft has ever released on it. Surprisingly, the Speccy report on that machine had only two entries, one related to IE and the other about WMF4. Anyway, something in Speccy's update detection code is very wrong. 6. Hi. After installing Speccy v1.25.674 on my Windows 7, I noticed it is reporting a couple of things which I know to be not true, whether it is a bug or not. First: WinInet Info LAN Connection Local system uses a local area network to connect to the Internet Local system has RAS to connect to the Internet In the third line, it says I have a RAS connection, which I am afraid I don't think so. Moving forward: Sharing and Discovery Network Discovery Enabled File and Printer Sharing Enabled File and printer sharing service Enabled Simple File Sharing Enabled Administrative Shares Enabled Network access: Sharing and security model for local accounts Classic - local users authenticate as themselves In the fourth line, it says I have "Simple Fire Sharing" enabled, which I beg to differ. Simple File Sharing was discontinued in Windows 7 in favor of HomeGroup. Not surprisingly, the last line in the report contradicts with Simple File Sharing assertion and says my network model is classic and users authenticate as themselves. (In Simple File Sharing mode, they authenticate as Guest.) Best regards, Codename Lisa
