  2. I use Paint.NET a lot when I do screen caps.
  3. I have always removed all the entries that CCleaner finds and never once had a problem. Plus, you can make a backup of them. If you want to be safe, yes only remove the entries to programs you have uninstalled. Unchecking them will cause them to not be removed by CCleaner.
  4. Yes, I can confirm this. Renaming the registry backup will cause it not to save as a .reg file. Saving the registry backup as <filename>.reg will save it as a registry backup. I'll report it to man himself...

  6. New stuff will come, but we don't know what!
  7. They are commonly found in HKLM/SOFTWARE and HKCU/SOFTWARE. As far as having alot of registry entries. That's pretty much a myth with todays hardware, just watch your startup entries.
  8. That is a common problem with most registry cleaners. I don't think anything can be done.
  9. More or less... The Applications Tab will clean Firefox, Opera, and Safari browser cache. As far as applications, in very simple terms... It clears the recently opened files either by registry or a history file. If you use Office a lot, I would uncheck it, it has been known to reset your personal settings.

    They are portable already.
  11. AntiVir detected it as a virus. Microsoft is posting files with viruses. DO NOT USE, it will screw up your PC! Ok, not really... I figured it would detect it anyways...

  14. It's the same people you call on them 1-800 numbers for support. They barely speak English and are from India or something.
  15. TuneUp 2008 will delete them, but it is risky. MrG has talked to Microsoft personally and they agreed to not delete certain hotfixes.
  16. Yea, you hear your death on your cellphone by voicemail....
  17. If you read this, the next time you watch a YouTube video, you will see your death... What else can they come up with for a stupid horror movie...
  18. I probably shouldn't be telling anyone this, but.... It should be out of beta in a week or two, if all goes well... Shhhhh..... Keep it a secret!

  21. It doesn't show anything on my desktop about any time limit. SP3 contains all Hotifxes for XP (includes IE6/IE7 updates, but does not contain IE7) Networking: "Black Hole" Router Detection Network Access Point (NAP) Functionality: Descriptive Security Options User Inface Enhanced Security for Administrator and Service policy entries Microsoft Kernel Mode Cryptographic Module Setup: Windows Product Activation (Affects other Windows programs activation, this is not WGA) It only contains a few new features, which I doubt most users will use. It should be a small update on Windows Update when it is released, since most people won't need all the updates.
  22. Nope, it doesn't have WMP included. I still have WMP 9 installed.
