  1. To add Netscape 8, it would require programming on MrG's part. It's doing like exactly like Firefox is now...

    These tweaks will work on 9x/ME, just change the first line from ?Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00″ to ?REGEDIT4″.

  3. I have automatic updates turned on, however sometimes it can't download the updates therefore I still have to use the Windows Update website every now and then.

    Same here, sometimes automatic update is slower than the actually Windows Update site on releasing updates.

  4. Ok, I will reply. No bumping please...

    I don't really see a need in it, I only 3 icons in quick launch. I doubt many people have so many they don't know what they have and don't have on it.

  5. Hey steve1368 and everyone who reads this,

    You may not like what I have to say, but it's my opinion from experience. Other people's may be different. But here goes...

    First off, I recommend not using TuneUp 2004, I use to use it. But, I stopped for a few reasons.

    #1. I don't know what exactly it is fixing and so on...

    #2. You can find other programs that will do a better job and you actually know what they do.

    #3. Before I knew any better, I installed tweak programs and maintaince programs like TuneUp 2004, and it actually slowed down my system. I stop using all tweak programs (reformatted) and my system has been stable for a long time and not single error.

    #4. Most programs do pointless tweaks that doesn't even effect Windows or performance.

    As for Registry Cleaners...

    No registry program is the same, some clean pointless entries and some actually clean really good. I have only found 1 registry program I like, Registry Mechanic is by far the best one I have ever used (I have tried tons of them). RegscrubXP is a joke, yes a joke. It's pointless, it finds tons of entries with "null" values. Sure you can clean them, but Windows will just rebuild them after every reboot or when you start the program. Alot of registry cleaners will do that to make it look like it's actually cleaning, but it's pointless, a waste of time, and it can frag your registry.

    I recommend this... (This is what I do when I want to create a System Restore/Backup).

    Run CCleaner and fix all issues, then run Registry Mechanic, then run NTREGOPT, and then Yes to reboot. Then run a defrag program (Windows or whatever, I use O&O Defrag), then run Page Defragmenter, and then reboot. Now, run System Restore, and create a new restore point. Then run ERUNT if you want to backup your registry. I then use Disk Cleanup and clear all but my recent restore point (to save space). You are now done.

    I hope this will help some.

  6. https://addons.mozilla.org/extensions/morei...ication=firefox

    Another one of them must have Extensions for Firefox. If, you use the scroll wheel.

    Scrolls the document smoothly when scrolling the mouse wheel

    Basically an enhanced and configurable version of the built in smooth-scroll. Uses some unique algorithms for smoothness and adaptive behaviour (scrolls fast or slow according to the "intention" of the user). Allows to read long web pages easily. You can actually read WHILE scrolling. Kind of like the credits at the end of a movie, but controlled by scrolling the mouse wheel. Works with text-boxes and drop-down boxes too. This version Exposes more configuration options.

  7. Just custom settings and recent file list. Open winapp.ini...

    If you have Office XP.

    Delete:

    RegKey8=HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Office\10.0\Word\Data|Settings

    RegKey9=HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Office\10.0\Access\Settings

    If you have Office 2003

    Delete:

    RegKey10=HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Office\11.0\Word\Data|Settings

  8. Star Wars III is totally awesome, everything in it is awesome. I watched the 3:15am showing, it's 6:47am right now, and I have to be at work 8am. Not to mention I am going on 5 hours of sleep. I don't want to work today.

    WATCH THE MOVIE!

  9. NoScript 1.0.2

    Extra protection for your Firefox: NoScript allows JavaScript execution only for trusted domains of your choice (e.g. your home-banking web site). This whitelist based pre-emptive script blocking approach prevents exploitation of security vulnerabilities (known and even unknown!) with no loss of functionality... Experts will agree: Firefox is really safer with NoScript ;-)

    https://addons.mozilla.org/extensions/morei...ication=firefox

    I actually found this extension to be really good and real easy to use. It also blocks java script ads that other popup blockers can't (Main reason I got it).

  10. Actually, no. The problem with open recent list in Office can not be resolved unless it removes custom settings too. Which in that case, it's not worth cleaning. I checked out other cleaning programs too and they did the samething CCleaner did. Delete custom settings in order to clear the open recent list.
