  1. It wasn't really the problem, why it was deleted, it was the way he did the post (his attitude). The Temp Variable has been fixed and none of us can reproduce this problem. Some of the stuff he was saying, I don't think is even possible to do with CCleaner, I have tried everything I could on my test pc to screw anything up, and I have had no luck. But like I said, it was the way he did the post, which was totally uncalled for. Even MrG has looked into the problem with no luck, if we could get more info then CCleaner deleted everything, that doesn't explain anything at all.
  2. This is a good plan of McAfee's part. Maybe they "can" get more users, I hope they offer free tech support on that... I would rather use a can of Raid on my desktop than McAfee, it would stand a better chance.
  3. If it is a normal user, I doubt they can find out what you were doing. But, like I have said before. There is always a way to find out, nothing is 100% secure.
  4. CCleaner will only remove KB updates, this was decided after MrG talked to Microsoft, and thought it would be wise just to remove the KB updates, so it wouldn't cause any OS problems.
  5. Oops, I haven't updated the beginner's guide for Recuva in a while. I'll fix it soon.
  6. We would need someone to translate it over.
  7. Sometimes when you uninstall programs, it doesn't remove everything, mostly the registry entries. You will need to delete the registry entires of that program you uninstalled for them not to come up in CCleaner.
  8. TuneUp Utilities 2007 Ashampoo Burning Studio 5 xplorer2 Registry Mechanic WinCHM Microsoft Office XP AntiVir PE Premium
  9. I am going to update winapp2.ini now. I am on vacation so I am just dropping in every now and then.
  10. Here is something everyone needs to understand. Many new features and improvements are being done, but not for current version of CCleaner (1.00). CCleaner 2.0 is being rewritten from the ground up, everything everyone wants should be in 2.0, but there is no release date as of yet. Just give it time, I suspect the version (1.00) will be just bug fixes and improvements. I don't see any new features unless it is necessary.
  11. The new version of CCleaner is in the process of being updated, not everything is instant... One thing at a time, it takes alot of updating (uploading and web updating). It will be fixed soon.
  12. I find Alt+Ctrl+Del to be faster. I do it so much, I don't even think about where the keys are, I just do it.
  13. I will be officially on vacation tomorrow, but I will have my laptop with me. If you are a big CCleaner Portable fan, once 1.39 is released expect a half a day to a day delay on it. I will update it as soon as I check the forums (Probably at nights).
  14. You will need to Disable (not stop) Intel Zero Config. It is a service (it will automatically startup when Windows does).
  15. The best thing to do is use Secure Deletion in Options, Settings. Use NSA (7 passes), it doesn't clean everything, as it can't. Windows itself tracks stuff you do and you have to manually delete it all. But some stuff you can't delete. Sorry to say this, but there is always ways to find out stuff with logs, files, and programs. If you don't ever want people to know what you are doing on a computer, is not to use one, or be the only one that has access to it.
  16. That would be to simple.... Or he has no common sense...
  17. What size you want? I got it really huge, so I can resize it. I made a link gif in my sig, I made it before Recuva was even released.
  18. I have used them both and many zip programs for that matter. I really like ZipGenius and will be sticking with it for a long time.
  19. Sorry, we are not currently doing it at this time.
  20. You must have had a very old winapp2.ini. I can't even remember when I removed that, it was months, and months ago.
  21. The original Beginner's Guide was in PDF, but it only had half the content the guide has now, and it was double the size. I will be sticking with the complied HTML since it is widely used, great user ability, and very small in size. As far as doing anything with the Beginner's Guide, it is not up to me. I have already suggested a few things awhile back.
  22. I didn't have the exact fonts, but I got pretty close.
