  1. nukecad - Thanks for that link. It explains a lot about "perpetual" CCleaner skipped apps. I have noticed that when I run CCleaner after PC startup or reboot, it does clean Microsoft Edge. Joe
  2. nukecad - That's what I figured which is why I asked this question: Question1: Which switches in Edge do I need to turn off in order to have CCleaner "clean" Microsoft Edge? I've been poking to find the correct switches to turn off with no avail. Joe
  3. Hi, I finally installed Windows 11 Pro a few weeks ago. In the past few days, CCleaner suddenly "skipped" Edge Chromium (screenshot attached). Question1: Which switches in Edge do I need to turn off in order to have CCleaner "clean" Microsoft Edge? Question2: If there is another way to fix this problem, I'll be happy to go that route. Thanks for any assistance you can offer. Joe
  4. @ latimers - Interesting. I agree with your conclusion.
  5. Chuck, Read that people paying for CCleaner are getting version 6.23.
  6. nukecad - That's excellent advice. I'll follow it. Thanks for your responses. Joe
  7. nukecad - Thanks for responding. My "C" drive is 200 GB with 117 GB free space. The two hard drives are 2TB each. I have been building my own computers for 25 years. Since Windows XP Pro I have been putting the Page File on its own my secondary drive and I have not had any problems with CCleaner. My other PC is running Windows 10 Pro with the same setup as my Windows 11 Pro PC. No CCleaner problems with the Win 10 PC. Windows shows the two hard drives as hard drives. Speccy also shows the hard drives as SSD. Joe
  8. Hi - Windows 11 Pro - CCleaner v6.22.10977. There are no SSDs in this PC. Hard drives only. Quite a glitch. Been using CCleaner since it was Crap Cleaner in Beta. Overall, great program. Screenshot attached. Joe
  9. @nukecad Thanks for the info. I haven't seen the nag screen since I made a change in the registry. Joe
  10. @Jeff M I haven't seen the nag screen since I made a change in the registry. Joe
  11. @hazelnut Thanks for the link. Joe
  12. nukecad - I know the nag screen has been around for a while. I'll get used to it. Ccleaner is an excellent program. I've been using it since it was in Beta. As you might recall it was called crapcleaner back then.
  13. Hi nukead - It looks like one or both of these registry entries control the nag. Since I am not absolutely certain these registry entries are the cause of the nag I'll just leave them as is.
  14. Hi, This nag just started a few days ago (ccleaner 6.13.10507 -64bit). Running Windows 10 Pro 64 bit. Question: How do I disable it?
  15. Hazelnut I should have indicated that I am running Windows 10 Pro. I'll do a clean install of ccleaner later. Thanks for your input. Joe
  16. Hi Hazelnut - Thanks for the quick response. I already have the items I want cleaned marked in Custom Clean and the ones I do not want cleaned not marked. Also, I have never used automatic updates. Any other suggestions?
  17. Hi, I've been using ccleaner since it was beta and was called crapcleaner. It's a great utility. However, ccleaner 6.09.10300 added a new landing screen (see attachment). Question: How do we disable this landing screen and immediately land on the one that counts? Thanks for any assistance you can offer. Joe
  18. Hi redwolfe_98, First off, my apologies for not getting back to you sooner. I turned off Startup Boost and that fixed the problem. I really appreciate your assistance. Joe
  19. Hi nucad, What you suggest is certainly a potential solution. That said, this "problem" occurs on three separate PCs, two of which are running Windows 10 Pro 64 bit. The other is Windows 7 Pro 32 bit which I rarely use. In fact the Windows 7 PC is about to be dropped off at the recycling center. What all three have in common is that they are running Microsoft Edge. I appreciate your input. Joe P.S. I build my own PCs.
  20. Hello again nukecad, I appreciate your input. I tried a lot of potential solutions to this anomoly but still no joy. Quite frankly, it's just a minor annoyance which I presumed would have a quick fix. Alas, not. ;) Joe
  21. Hi Andavari, I waited as long as ten minutes before running CCleaner. I still have the "problem". Thanks for your reply. Joe P.S. I been using CCleaner when it was in beta and was called Crap Cleaner :)
  22. Hi hazelnut, Because of what you posted regarding the amount of time between running CCleaner and closing Edge I decided to wait 10 minutes. No joy :( The "problem" still exists. Next stop: The link you provided that includes a potential fix. I'll report back. Thanks. Joe
