In that case, I guess it's time to dump CCleaner and move on to another utility.

Install CCleaner on the D: or other partition
HawkDawg replied to olc's topic in CCleaner Suggestions
You can. Just select Custom (or customize, I can't remember) at the start of the install process. Then on the next screen, or the one after, make sure you select More. -
Not a problem for me. I don't clean the font cache and I use Win 7. But thanks for the heads-up.

I still use CCleaner, and Speccy both, but I went back to versions prior to the Avast buyout. I'm now running CCleaner V-5.32 and Speccy V-1.29 (both pre-Avast versions) on Win 7, 32-bit and 64-bit computers.

Again, thanks for the reply. I hope you get it fogured out. Let me know if there's anything i can do to help, like maybe beta test a hopeful fix.
-
Thanks for your reply Dennis. I uninstalled the latest version of Speccy, using Revo Uninstaller, then installed V-1.20.446. That was the latest previous version I had on my hard drive. Here's a shot of it. As you can see, it only shows the 3 momitors. I don't know if it's relevant or not, but all 3 monitors are CRT's. Also, I am still running XP.
-
I take it I'm the only one that is experiencing this?
-
I just upgraded to V-1.23.569 and in the Graphics display it shows numerous monitor listings. I have 3 monitors but Speccy shows those 3 plus 6 more Default Monitors and it shows 2 of the monitors twice. See the screenshot. Strange!

That link doesn't mention the Environment Path choice in the Advanced section. What does it do?
-
Thanks for the link. I actually looked through the forums for this problem before I joined and posted and couldn't find it mentioned. As a matter of fact, without your link I still can't find it. Anyway, I don't believe it applies in my case as I wasn't doing anythig in services, as a poster mentioned in the link to Laxdal's Ramblings. Plus it wasn't only happening in V-1.20. As I mentioned in one of my posts, it also did it in V-1.17. That was after using Revo Uninstaller to uninstall 1.20, then installing 1.17.
-
After I made my second post above, it did it again. A reboot fixed it, but why does it keep doing this? I looked in Device Manager and it didn't show any errors for my graphics card.
-
Well, never mind. I rebooted and it's working fine now. I even upgraded to 1.20. Still not sure why it showed that message, but at least it's working again.

Speccy has been working fine for me, then all of a sudden today I started getting a message in the Graphics list saying: The specified service has been marked for deletion It was workiong this morning, showing the tempurature but not now. I was running 1.20 so I uninstalled it and installed 1.17 and get the same thing. Why am I all of a sudden getting this text? Here's what it looked like earlier today.
