  1. This is not CCleaner issue. This is a windows permissions problem.
  2. This is a custom made cleaner, so it depends on the path entry that the user has put. So any path the user put, it'll clean if there is no such path, there will not be any alert to tell the user that path does not exist. anyhow, I just remembered something, There are three other things you have to know if you are going to use CCleaner: Firstly, CCleaner DOES NOT clean files that are currently in use. which makes you sometimes to delete the files manually. For instance, if you try to do a custom clean for iTunes temp files on this path: %APPDATA%\Apple Computer\Logs\ and you chose to Include files and subfolders. it won't clean it, unless you kill all iTunes related processes. Because the files will be in use by iTunes processes. So shutting them down will do the trick. Secondly, in custom cleaner, sometimes *.log, *.tmp .etc doesn't work. why ? simply, because the name of temp files sometimes contain dots before the original source. Example : temporaryfile.o124.tmp Unfortunately, some programs now use this method to keep those files alive, "Like iTunes Temporary files". CCleaner read the source type from the first DOT. So in our example, CCleaner will not catch the file IF we just customized the search to *.tmp because it will read the source as .o124 not as .tmp. In this case you either make the custom clean to clean all files ( *.* ) OR you do this clean manually. Finally, there is another thing you should consider while cleaning. CCleaner comes with a default option to only delete files in Windows Temp folders older than 24 hours. So if you want to completely delete everything without leaving anything behind. You have to uncheck that option which you can find it on Options > Advanced then uncheck "Only delete files in Windows Temp folders older than 24 hours". I hope it'll be useful,
  3. Use Piriform support, http://www.piriform.com/support They'll help you out.

    CCleaner Pro

I agree, but I think the idea of Pro version "NOT BUSINESS" is a helpful way to "DONATE"... Piriform, won't let people donate without giving them something in return as appreciation. and they are same as others companies, needs a financial help to be improved and continued. so Pro version is a way to say "Thank you, and keep going." That's my opinion, and that was why I got my Pro version..
  5. Hi, I have a punch of suggestions, and I don't know they might be useful. 1. Cleaner : + Size: The result approximate size restricted to MB,and the "Details of files to be deleted" size restricted to KB. Why CC cannot offer reading the sizes as they are? Example: if there is a 8 GB to clean, it'll say 8192 MB to be removed, and the in the Details will say 819200 KB -- xx Files. (xx number of files found) While it should say 8 GB to be removed, and in the Details will say 8 GB -- xx Files. (xx number of files found) (AT LEAST we'll stop counting how many numbers are there to know how much size it takes). + Wipe Free Space : I believe most people will mostly uncheck this option, because they want a fast cleaning, and who wants to wipe his drive, will use Tools / Driver Wiper. 2. Cookies, Include, Exclude options: Every time I want to use them, I have to go to Options and change them and go back to Cleaner and clean! Also, most of time i forget about them, because I don't see them all the time...! and since they are related to Cleaner option, it'll be nice to merge them with Cleaner dialog. that will make it faster to the user to see and configure his options. 3. Delete Entry Buttons in Tools: This is a confusing thing to most of users, especially if this is the first time using CC. Some users think this button will "Uninstall" the program, or Disable an entry in the Startup options. So using them by mistake will cause some problems to them. I would suggest to separate this button from others for users safety. (OR using Tiptool or any type of messages to note the users). 3. Options > Advanced : "Only delete files in Windows Temp folder older than 24 hours". this option is checked by default, I suggest to be unchecked by default. because most users will not know about this option especially at their first use. 4. Save to text file Buttons: This option is very useful, but, in the Startup option, you have to save a list of entries for each tab. While it'll be better if we can do this one time for all tabs. (OR Include it with suggestion number 5 below). 5. LOGs. I would suggest a new option provide a basic system log like: - System Manufacture + System Model. - Windows version (Showing 32-bit or 64-bit) - RAM (Actual size + used size). - Processor - Graphic card ( Type + RAM size ). - HDD ( Actual size + Partition Letters + size for each partition + used + free size for each partition) - Last 10 "Windows Error Reporting" events. - Uninstall List - Startup lists "including all active tabs" This option could be showed as a new Tab inside CC and add a new Save button to be able to save it as text, OR you can put a Save button to save all info in a text (both way will be useful). 6. CCleaner Command lines: CC has some limited commands line, and it'll be wonderful to have some additional commands Like: - A command to register CC using a parameter to do self registration. (PRO & Business editions). (This command will even help Support to do batches or keys to their costumers rather than typing the license key and Name "will be no more issues with spelling".) - A command to clean registry. ( since /AUTO is available). - A command to export all available logs and save them in a text file. (related to Suggestion #5) - A command to Uninstall, Delete, Disable/Enable entries by their list number. (Example: In uninstall list Adobe flash is #4 in the list. In Startup list at Windows tab, the #2 in the list is a file named App.exe, and #6 in Google Chrome is an entry named Extension). What I need to do is to uninstall Adobe flash, and disable app.exe from Startup entries, and disable Extension from "Google Chrome" tab. It will be something like this: ccleaner /uninstall #4 uninstall ccleaner /startup /Windows #2 /GoogleChrome #6 Disable and this will do all what I need in just one click. This is what I have I hope it'll be useful somehow, and I know some people will feel the same .. (NOTE: Why you don't integrate CC with Defrag together, and make Defrag, as built-in option in CC, it'll emphasize CC functionality).
  6. Cindi, I've never experience any problem with CC especially in registery cleaning. I've tried a lot of pros, but believe me CC is the most safest way to clean the registry. So, I guess your system is affected by a Malware or Trojan. I suggest you contact Piriform support "if you have a Pirifrom license" ... OR you should do a deep scan with any good anti malware that you know.

    CCleaner Pro

Without money, there won't be any new services and improvements. Also, the Pro and Business versions, are just for those who needs support. otherwise, the Free version is the same as the paid once. The most wonderful thing in Piriform, their free versions are ads-free! so you should be happy for that. I've been using it for about 5 years, so I decided to help out by getting the Pro. So wither you pay or not, you'll have the same product, but different services.
  8. I had this problem before... There are two methods you can get your purchase info from it.. First one is from the Piriform support.. which you can access from here : http://www.piriform.com/support you can use the same email and password that you use to register your product. then just make a request regarding your issue, and they'll be happy to assist you. another method is to look up and get all orders that you've made using CleverBridge.. "Piriform uses their payment gateway". and that by using this link : http://www.cleverbridge.com/ccinfo.html Just put your email "the one that you've used while purchasing the CCleaner" then click next. After a few seconds, you'll receive an email with your all purchases that you've made registered with your email.. and you'll find what you're looking for. I hope that will help.
  9. I see what you are going through, If you have two systems installed on different physical drives, then you should be good. as long as the systems are not in one physical drive, they won't conflict each other. because each system it has his own environment. However, it's not a wise decision to copy files from a system to another directly. (like working on Windows 7, and you copy some files into Windows 8 desktop folder.) This is won't work, because any changes made while the system is off, the windows will restore the last modification date has been recorded while the system on. So the best way to switch files between the two systems is to put a partition or an external drive to save the files in, and reading it from both systems. Keep in mind that windows Desktop is one of restores check points, it means if the system restored to a previous check point, then any changes in the desktop will be gone.! so it's not a good idea to save your work on the desktop, the best way to save your work is in the Documents. Also, you have to know if one of your systems has been infected somehow by some viruses, there is a big chance that will infect the other. So what you have to do is first do a full scan to your HD's using Malwarebytes/SuperAntiSpyware/Kaspersky Removal Tool.. make sure they're all up-to-date before using them. Then, open the command prompt (As Administrator) and type this command sfc /scannow.. wait until it's finished, then restart your system. (Do this command on both systems.) This will ONLY fix and restores the system files to the original status. and reboot your system, If the check disk message appears, leave it and let it do its job, because disk check won't be working while the Windows on, Be patient and wait until its finished, after it's done, do a reboot to your system to see if you still have the messege or not. if you still have the check disk message after doing the above steps, you can cancel the scheduled auto disk checker by writing a chkntfs /x <driverletter> using the command prompt, where the <driverletter> is the partition that windows asks to do a Check Disk on it. I don't suggest this method unless you already did a disk check, and the message is still asking you to check your disk each time you boot up your system.
  10. Well, I prefer a one time fee, rather than a monthly / yearly fees. I see that If you just want to buy a subscription because of Skydrive. I'd say Google drive will be a better choice, you can take 100GB for $5/monthly. "it's cheaper than skydrive". and If you like the idea of Skype minutes.. I don't know if you are having some one overseas to call or not.. and both ways, there are now a lot of free mobile apps you can use them to call ... and believe me, the quality of the call won't be better than the quality of these free mobile apps. After all, it depends on you.. wither you buying or not..!
  11. As Andavari said, it's a customized folder related to one of the installed application of yours. If you used CCleaner to include this file and it didn't work, try this method: Right-click on CCleaner Choose Run As Administrator Go to Options Then Include Click Add Change the option to Include files and subfolders Save your changes, and try to clean the folder using Cleaner option.
