I want to see that pie chart - fire up File Explorer, right click that drive and select Properties. attached a Snip of that screen and attach it here. doesn't matter how highly compressed that drive is, you still can't fit a square peg into a round hole.

nah, can't see it myself, there are simply too many other products out there that actually work.

welcome to the forums. I wouldn't hold your breathe sadly. hasn't been a Speccy release for some time and when there was it caused all manner of issues (and if memory serves, it was even pulled until a 3rd party software component, CPU-Z brought out a new release) personally, I believe all Piriforms products except CCleaner have even been abandoned or at least moth-balled while they ignore current bugs and prioritise new, unwanted features. if only an Admin would offer some insight....

one can only assume that Speccy has been abandoned. the other conclusion is the developers (both of them) have been too busy with the new, software updater feature of CCleaner.

g'day Anne and welcome to the forum. so where are you up to? have you downloaded and installed CCleaner? where did you get it from? what version of Windows do you have? if you have downloaded and installed it, go to Start and you should see it in the list of programs. click CCleaner to start it and once it starts, you simply click Run Cleaner in the bottom right corner and let it do its thing with the default settings.

'why so hard to fix?' - well, you can only assume it's nigh on impossible, or their care factor is zero or the Devs have been told to relegate it so low as they deliver very important, necessary features like pop-ups, licensing checks and beta features like software versioning checks no-one saw coming. (yep, that was sarcasm) there's nothing like something new and sparkly to divert one's attention I guess.

yeah, sorry, can't explain that. so it actually has 8GB, two separate programs support that. but at least Speccy is really only passing on what it's finding out for itself. if Speccy is using that AdapterRAM field, then it's obviously either the wrong field or some multiplier needs to be factored in based on some other info Speccy is missing.

same as nukecad. between my own Batch/PowerShell script and the inbuilt cleanmgr utility, I've long stopped using CC for maintenance. my main use of CC now is it's Uninstall feature - very handy in removing those Win10 Store apps. I've got PowerShell commands to remove them but at this stage CC does a better job. My currently installed v5.40 will be my last.

maybe Speccy is simply passing on what is in the firmware. start an elevate command prompt and type in wmic cpu list brief and see what it thinks your CPU is.

generally Devs and Admins hardly chime in unless requesting further info for bug fixes. but otherwise, I concur with all that has been said. reg cleaning is just not needed, add to that the ever moving goal posts that are Windows 10, and any reg cleaning via 3rd party software is a ticking time bomb.

sadly, the explanation is, there is none. the wrong reporting of SSD's as HDD's and HDD's as SSD's is in both CCleaner and Defraggler, has been for many versions, and there is no resolution.

if you want to move on and remove the chip from your shoulder, maybe we can address your problem. All I'm seeing (again) is useless posts that add nothing to the conversation.

@rob, what version of CC do you have? as you have been a user for many years, you would have noticed all the changes over that time, for better or worse. personally, I've stayed on v5.40 until Microsoft flags it as incompatible with Win10.

I see, you have made another account to complain about your previous ban. (actually against forum rules) here's an idea, instead of simply saying "bump" why not be a little more helpful and explain your own situation instead of jumping on someone else's thread and your first post and intro to the forums being bump. so let's start again... go back to the Speccy thread and add your own thoughts to the discussion. it may help members help you and may provide some useful Google search results down the track for others with a similar problem.
