  1. uhhh, maybe i'm losing my connection.. i have used ccleaner for many years.. i can tell time using a calendar.. ccleaner sometimes informs me of available new versions more than once-a-month.. i always install the new version.. i also know the difference between the file scan and registry option.. ccleaner often reveals new files after I have scanned and deleted previous entries.. the new entries appear a fraction of a second after previous files are deleted.. i delete those new entries, and a fraction of a second later, new entries appear.. what would pics (screenshots?) show anyway? only what i want you to see; screenshots don't prove anything.. i end up scanning 6-8 times, until the search shows no more entries to be found.. overall, ccleaner is a good product; i'm glad I have it.. its a good product, even the free version.. I'm just confused about some traits i have seen during my use of the software, which I use once-a-week..
  2. no, I don't have a pic.. do I need one? do you use ccleaner? do you scan for items to be deleted? do you see the same files that were deleted displayed again, as a confirmation of the files that were disposed of? the confirmation display is a duplicate of the screen that shows the files that are about to be deleted, yes? it says, "these are the files that were just deleted".. I'm saying, "i don't care; don't show me this; I know what was deleted, I saw the list of files as they were discovered; why show me again?" puh-leeze!
  3. why do I need ccleaner to confirm the files which were deleted after a scan? I don't see the upside.. can I opt-out of the confirmation display? it's pointless.. but, I could be wrong!
  4. >> when analysing at first, many files are listed, and they are removed, then 1 file is displayed and i delete it and other files one after the other.. why? why arent all files shown as in the initial display when dozens are shown? >> ccleaner sometimes issues new versions 2-3 times in a month.. why? is it so important to issue a new version, that a routine cant be set-up for issuing a new version every 30 days?
  5. i have read comments on the piriform website about registry items that will not delete are either too small to be of any concern or are part of the OS.. i would like opinions from the forum about a file in my case: invalid or empty file class http HkCR\http is this deletable? thanks
  6. i am grateful to all who answered my inquiry.. while some may feel the need to backup files, i do not.. my pc is for home recreational use.. i have not wished i had backed up files to this point.. i only wish i had the option to decide what i wanted to do.. i thought computers were all about customizing the machine to my needs, and not limited to what options the manufacturer chose to allow.. i will continue to decline the backup option, but i dont understand why c -cleaner wont give me the chance to set this function to a permanent change that i want.. would i have to buy a subscription to set the message not to appear again?
  7. Hardware: PC. O.S. Software: Windows Professional XP/SP3. Application: C -Cleaner (freeware) v.3.20.1750. when i use the registry option, c -cleaner finds the issues to be dealt with.. when i click on "fix selected issues", a window opens that says, "do you want to backup changes to the registry? yes/no/cancel" i always answer "no".. a computer tech said he cant get around the message.. how do i suppress this message? i have downloaded the application several times and still have the message..
