    ...[Adobe CC *], [Adobe CS *], [Adobe Dreamweaver *], [Adobe My Digital Editions *], [Adobe Photoshop *] and [Adobe Premiere Pro *].

    [Adobe Photoshop *] was an amalgamation of several older Photoshop entries: CS1,CS2, CS3, etc. during the last refactor.  I use this one with Photoshop CS2 and haven't had any issues...

    It seems that the removed entries are just outdated. Maybe we can add them to the "Removed entries.ini" file?

    One of the entries was deleting actual projects.

    Correct, FileKey1 and 2 should be removed from [Adobe Premiere Pro *]! Strange that someone wants to remove his project files?!

    New Entry

    [Security Service Token Cache *]
    ...
    FileKey1=%LocalAppData%\Microsoft\TokenBroker\Cache|*.*|RECURSE

    You removed this FileKey 3 weeks ago! Now it's safe again?!

    Please don't take it personally, but you change your mind very often. Please test your modifications a little bit longer before posting them. No need to hurry. And please use the latest winapp2.ini as template, because many of your revised entries are not correctly sorted. Thank you very much!

    I wonder why we have ExcludeKey in the entry listed below. This is for File Explorer Jump Lists. Almost every known privacy cleaning program has cleaning rules for this. Removing Explorer Jump Lists does not actually remove any of the programs from Explorer, same like the other jump lists.

    [Jump Lists *]
    ...
    ExcludeKey1=FILE|%AppData%\Microsoft\Windows\Recent\AutomaticDestinations\|f01b4d95cf55d32a.automaticDestinations-ms

    Because this protects user made changes to "Quick access". If you remove this file then "Quick access" shows the default entries again.

    I think we should list entries according to the Windows folders order and Windows Registry hives order
    ....

    What's wrong with the alphabetical order? IMHO there's no advantage. But for that it would causes very much work!

    Revised Entries

    Changed Detect to DetectFile

    LangSecRef=3024
    DetectFile=%ProgramFiles%\Paragon Software\Hard Disk Manager 12 Suite
    Default=False
    ...

    I think the correct DetectFile should be:

    [Paragon Hard Disk Manager 14 Suite *]
    LangSecRef=3024
    DetectFile=%ProgramFiles%\Paragon Software\Hard Disk Manager 14 Suite
    Default=False

    The folder "Downloaded Installations" is not unique to Paragon.  I have this folder and I do not have nor have ever had any Paragon products on my systems.  Therefore I do not feel that this should be renamed from [Downloaded Installations *] to [Paragon Setup Files *]...

    You're absolutely right. It's a common folder used by various applications. (On my system it's used by a banking software.)

    What happened to this entry? It is not there anymore.

    [Adobe Media Cache*]

    After the overhaul it was still there as a merged version:

    [Adobe Media Cache *]
    LangSecRef=3023
    DetectFile=%AppData%\Adobe\Common\Media Cache
    Default=False
    FileKey1=%AppData%\Adobe\Common\* Cache*|*.*|RECURSE

    But then it got accidentally lost here: https://github.com/MoscaDotTo/Winapp2/commit/2ff56e7f8e472d07e3726179bab11d3219774bd5

    By renaming .dlls that are loaded near the end of the loading process, I managed to get all of the versions of the DxO Photosuite applications to crash and found some additional crash log folders.  I've inserted FileKey3 and 5 to the existing entries to clean these:

    Revised entry:

    Just merged FileKeys.

    [DxO Photo Suite *]

    Detect5=HKLM\Software\DxO Labs
    Detect6=HKLM\Software\DxOLabs
    Default=False
    FileKey1=%Documents%\DxO * crash*s|*.*
    FileKey2=%Documents%\DxO * logs|*.*
    FileKey3=%Documents%\DxO*\CrashReports|*.*|RECURSE
    FileKey4=%Documents%\DxO*\log|*.*

    It has nothing to do with Adobe update. Please don't guess. I don't post things here without testing. This is for the application logs to submit to Adobe.

    Thanks for the clarification.

    This location will NEVER have iconcache_*.db files.

    Sorry, but this isn't correct. They are on every Windows 10 system I have seen until now. And siliconman01 wouldn't post a modified entry without checking and testing also.

    I am using Windows 7 and ACDSee Standard.....

    Any help with a better entry in winapp2.ini ??

    I don't use ACDSee, therefore I can't help much. You could probably add the following:

    FileKeys
    %AppData%\ACD Systems\ACDSee\Cache|*.*|RECURSE
    %LocalAppData%\VirtualStore\Program Files*\ACD Systems\ACDSee\6.0|InTouchErrorLog.txt

    RegKeys
    HKCU\Software\ACD Systems\PlugIns\InfoCache
    HKCU\Software\ACD Systems\PlugIns\V2\InfoCache
    (Warning: I don't know if those caches are needed. Please backup your registry before deleting!)

    Is there a folder called CryptnetCache simultaneously alongside the CryptnetUrlCache folders I see on my machine? or some other folder name that matches this pattern? If not, I agree. The only sense in parameterizing filekeys with wildcards is to multiple clean locations with identical parameters, but it doesn't make sense to include paths that don't necessarily exist in such a parameterization...

    SMalik added new FileKeys which include folders named "CryptnetFlushCache". That's why I changed the existing FileKeys "CryptnetUrlCache" to "Cryptnet*Cache". This covers both "...Flush..." and "...Url...".

    17 hours ago, SMalik said:

    I will not recommend shortening paths like "Cryptnet*Cache". Something like "\nouser1\*\" is fine, where the name is different each time the program is installed. I suggest that we should implement this rule for all entries.

    Then we have to undo many changes of the last overhaul... IMHO it isn't a problem if the shortened path includes keywords like "cache" or "temp".

  11. Thanks for the updates! :)

    Just a suggestion:

    We merged many entries to reduce the entries count and the file size of winapp2.ini. But what about the Adobe Acrobat and Reader entries?

    [Adobe Acrobat *] = [Adobe Acrobat 2017 *] + [Adobe Acrobat DC *] + [Adobe Acrobat XI *]
    [Adobe Reader *] = [Adobe Reader 2017 *] + [Adobe Reader DC *] + [Adobe Reader XI *]

    Or do you prefer them separated?

    [Utilities - TeamViewer] and [Utilities - Teamviewer *] find the same files.

    But the entry [TeamViewer *] could remove more files. Maybe this is related to older versions or to special features of the paid versions.

  13. Question:

    I found under the folder "%LocalAppData%\Packages\Microsoft.Windows.ShellExperienceHost_cw5n1h2txyewy\AC\Microsoft\Windows" tons of subfolders named with a random number. Each subfolder contains a single .pri file named with a random number also.

    ("Microsoft.LockApp_cw5n1h2txyewy" and "Microsoft.Windows.Cortana_cw5n1h2txyewy" contains those subfolders/files also.)

    Does anybody know if those .pri files are necessary or what function they have?

  14. 3 hours ago, SMalik said:

    These changes are not only important for me, these are VERY important for anyone who uses Winapp2.ini file.

    I fully understand your concerns. But to be honest, removing an empty folder usually doesn't break anything. There are no reports here that one of those (partially very old) entries causing trouble. If you create a pull request on GitHub I'm sure they will merge it.
