  1. I'll try to explain this best I can. Back in Vista days, I had CCleaner setup such that it deleted/cleaned every drop of privacy except of course things like remembering passwords and settings for websites, like this one. There was a template someone made back then for Vista users. Is their such a template for Windows 7 x64 users? There are a lot of UNCHECKED BOXES and I'm terrified which to touch and which to stay away from. I got some embarrassing things that a casual abuser could find and I'd like to keep the bad stuff for MY eyes only if you get my drift. Thanks folks! Praise God for our ability to create a problem and work ourselves out of it. <g>
  2. I want to try seamokey but without ccleaner's ability to clean things up I really don't want to. COULD Someone here make an entry for seamokey? It's taking the place of mozilla so it's going to get popular really fast. Please do this, thanks.
  3. Everytime I run the Registry cleaning part of ccleaner it finds entries that DO exist and are being used by me. It also finds entries which appear to be some kind of temp file but there is no description of what the scanner found. So, is there a way to tell it NOT to look for certain things OR should I go ahead and delete all the entries it suggest [saving the reg backup of course] and see how the computer works ?? thanks
  4. Thanks for getting this seamonkey thing going. Hopefully, like under one month, people more and more will start using seamonkey and want it added to ccleaners' list. thanks again
  5. seamonkey is not listed as one of the things that is cleaned with the current version. Will there ever be a version that would work to clean seamonkey entries? I only ask because unless ccleaner does clean seamonkey I will just have to revert back to Mozilla which is fine but it has some things that tee me off at times. Please someone let me, and others I suspect, know what the deal is??????
  6. OMG Thank You so much. I opened that file and inserted those lines in several different places until I appeared under the Internet list of apps on the CCLEANER. NOW it denies deletions of the logs which is what I want. Is there a way to add entries for individual files/folders NOT already in the winapp.ini file? I looked at the file and the entries seem straighforward, almost like an old autoexec.bat from the old skool days. Anyone?
  7. 1.27.260 Is there a way/method of editing the config files so that it ADDS the ZoneAlarm option? I believe I am using the latest and greatest version. Should I downgrade to one which offers me that Log file Protection Option? thanks,
  8. Zone Alarm is not an OPTION to "un-check" in the CCLEANER's application tabs. If it's there, then it's invisable or hidden in some way? Please, anyone have an idea on this problem? thanks,
  9. I Tried what you said. The "Use simple fire sharing" option is no where in the list. Maybe I didn't mention: I am using winXP SP1 Any other ideas??? thanks,
  10. I am sharing a folder over my LAN with another computer. Will what you said disable that shared folder? thanks
  11. I want to PROTECT certain FOLDERS and FILES from being deleted when running CCLEANER. I went to OPTIONS but when I selected a folder it had a warning telling me that ALL the files in the folder would be deleted? So How do I protect certain folders/files from being deleted? I want to be able to keep the LOGS certain programs make. thanks,
