  1. See, but I wonder if the Product Licensing is the reason for the restriction of Updates to Speccy. All companies have departments for each task. Each department has a Head of the Department that makes the final decision. So, I'm assuming that whatever department was focused on Speccy Updates either has been disbanded or keeps getting denied when they ask to do update on it. And then the same people who are doing the 'denying' aren't going public about it. So, if you contact them and they just say "soon," but soon never happens, then their Marketing Department is just giving you scripted responses because the true answer is: "Probably never."
  2. Well, I think the company changed hands/was bought out because the website is no longer Piriform and is now CCleaner.com - run and maintained by "Gen Digital Inc." (bottom of website). So, apparently, the new company doesn't realize that annual updates for a program, such as, Speccy is required due to new hardware releases. Figured I'd make my report, either way. We shall see if they do anything about it.
  3. First off, I'm fully up-to-date to the latest version of 1.32.803 (64-Bit). In addition, all of my Drivers are up-to-date, as well as my BIOS to the latest updates available. Secondly, my Specs are: Windows 10 64-bit AMD B650 Gigabyte Aorus Elite AX AM5 AMD 7900X 12-Core CPU NVIDIA GTX 1660 Super 6 GB 32 GB of DDR5-6000 @ CL 30 1 TB Samsung 970 Evo Plus NVMe SSD (100 GB for OS and Install Files, 700 GB for Games with 10% Unallocated for Optimization) 500 GB WD Blue SSD (Sata 3) 1 TB WD Blue HDD (Sata 3) Speccy is showing an odd Summary Output of the CPU - Basically shows all 12 Cores as "AMD K19." In addition, it's missing the temperature display of the CPU and Samsung 970 Evo Plus NVMe SSD. See "Summary Display Error for CPU, GPU, and RAM" and "CPU Output" Pictures uploaded. See CPU Newegg URL here. See Samsung 970 Evo Plus NVMe SSD Newegg URL here. In addition, Speccy is claiming that my 6 GB GPU VRAM is only 2 GB in size. This is clearly incorrect (I have the box in front of me). This item was purchased brand new from Newegg. See "GPU Output Incorrect RAM" Picture uploaded. See Newegg URL here. Lastly, the RAM is only displaying the most basic of information. It's missing information, such as, "DDR5," "6000 MHz," "2 Modules," "Cas Latency 30." Exact Timings of the RAM are: 30-38-38-96. See Newegg URL here.
  4. The age was 33 Hours old when I did the Optimize. This is the exact item that I bought: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820226370 AV was not turned off, but it was MBAM Pro and MSE. No conflicts had been encountered, to my knowledge, as they are supposed to alert me when something happens. Restore Points was not turned off, but was reduced to 1% of the Drive Space. Windows Update service had been completely finished due to installing all 197 Updates after the fresh installation of Windows 7 Home Premium Full Retail. I did not Optimize from Safe Mode. The Full Optimization process took exactly 7 minutes to complete, and, to my knowledge, there wasn't a single conflict during that 7 minutes (I was on the computer watching it). I was led to believe that the process is not supposed to move ANY files, which is why it wasn't called "Defragmentation". So, how does it corrupt the entire OS without moving a single file? My programmer friend claims that Windows 7 was confused by the request of the Defraggler to Optimize the SSD and that is what corrupted the entire OS. However, using Piriform products for 5+ years, and previously running "Quick Optimize" at 21 Hours of Drive Use, I thought that everything would be fine.
  5. As of right now, I'm fully and completely blaming Defraggler for corrupting my entire OS when I ran a Full Optimize using Defraggler 2.18.945. Now, I've been using Defraggler for 5+ years now and I have grown accustom to trusting the software created by Piriform, but this is the first time that anything really serious happened to me and this is the first time that I've had an SSD. I wasn't running any single other operation that you can think of. All I ran was a Full Defrag on my HDD and a Full Optimize on my SSD. As soon as the Optimize finished, the computer started having problems. So, when I went to bed, I shut down my computer and a thousand files were popping up saying "This file is corrupt." So, I cancelled the shut down and ran a Chkdsk. Well, it claimed that I would be required for a restart to do it. So, I shut it down and restarted it. It won't boot up - at all. Windows 7 Repair can't even discover it existing on the SSD! UBCD 5.2.6 doesn't even know what it's looking at when it sees the SSD's partition! I had to completely reinstall my OS, because the entire set of OS files for my Windows 7 Home Premium was corrupted! I am NEVER using Optimize again on the SSD!
  6. No, I'm not blocking javascript, because I'm using Javascript. I assume that by the time someone on here replied, they had fixed it, because shortly after posting this, i sent them a "Contact Us" form, was replied within the hour, and told that it was upscaled to the proper tech management section. She was really polite and thanked me for my service, as it was a great help to them. So, that sort of confirms that it did exist and they fixed it. Also, I changed absolutely nothing since then, and I just checked right now. It has been fixed. So, I guess ignore this thread. I just wanted to inform them as fast as possible.
  7. So, there should be a section where I can report bugs in relation to the Website, but I don't see anything. So, here it is. The following URL is opened upon completed installation of 4.17.4808, if you leave the check box marked to see the Release Notes: http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner/release-notes/4.17.4808/b1/a0 Looking at that URL, it shows the Release Notes for Version 3.19.1721 (24 May 2012). So, obviously, it's showing the wrong Release Notes. Also, obviously, the error is on the website, not the CCleaner install.
  8. Yep, the reboot worked. Wonder why it even does that though... it's a little weird.
  9. It was working fine for me, now all of a sudden this has started. Never did this to me before this version! Windows XP 32-bit Nvidia GeForce 7600 GT 256mb
  10. Well, I just wish there was an RSS feed update at least, because I posted this on the day of release for Defrag 2.12.826 and there still hasn't been a fix release yet or any news (to my knowledge) of it yet. I mean, seriously, it's just a display error - how hard is that to fix!?
  11. I was just thinking about something along these lines. Except, my idea was to give CCleaner a right-click option to securely clean the files that are "too big to fit in recycle bin" and would normally be cleaned without any security passes from Windows. But a Shred option from another free program does sound like it could be dandy, and easily turned off from CCleaner's tool that's easy-to-use!

    SSHDs

Hello, I found this very informative article informing me of SSHDs, what they do, and why they're an affordable upgrade from HDDs, but not too costly, and capable of running nearly an equal amount of performance from SSDs. Here's the URL: http://www.epageflip...-ezine-fstorage You can download the PDF file (45mb) or read it from online. In terms of lifetime of the SSHDs, they have not been extensively tested and I've seen a lot of reviews on Newegg about Seagate having bad customer service reviews, but it is a nice and adaptive technology that can be utilized nicely in today's era of technology - where simple-minded people could afford to run an SSHD and still learn how to properly utilize it's prioritizing technology. It's originally designed for use with a Laptop, but I see no reason why it cannot be installed into a Desktop computer (with a 3.5" adapter bracket for it to fit-to-tray). Go here to find the current prices available on the market for a brand-new version of the drive: http://www.seagate.c...100&cmpid=ezine Currently, the best price for purchasing a brand-new SSHD is on Newegg for the 750GB, 6GB/s SATA version (http://www.newegg.co...620121230045514) at $140 with a "kit" or the bare drive for $130 at Newegg (http://www.newegg.co...hannel&CMP=OTC-) or $120 at TigerDirect / B&H. The reviews on Newegg definitely help get an idea of the true performance and durability of the SSHD, so be sure to read those!
  13. Um, one thing to notice is that since this display / read error of Pagefile.sys, I have fully defragmented it and it somehow moved the Pagefile.sys. Now, this is very odd because before when it properly read the Pagefile.sys, it could not move the pagefile without me setting the drive to have 0 pagefile, restarting the computer, then Fully Defragmenting the drive, then replacing the Pagefile.sys back to normal - which would then place it at the end of the drive files. Someone else want to confirm this? I don't even understand how it's possible to occur in the first place.
  14. Hm, well, 6 years for my HDD and it still has "Good" health according to Defraggler, so a little confused there. Oh, and I've had my 32GB Flash Drive for 2 years and it's still kicking and Defraggler says it's "Good" health. Maybe, what I'm really doing is improving their health, and you guys seem to believe in a myth that has spread across the internets. To make those 6 years a bit more accurate, the Power-on hours is: 687 Days, 8 Hours.
  15. Wow Nergal, for a moderator, you sure don't clean your system as often as I do. I Quick Defrag 3 times daily and Full Defrag once weekly. I use CCleaner 5 times daily, Clean Registry once weekly, and Wipe Free Space on all possible drives (including SDs, Flash Drives, etc.) once monthly. Anyways, here's my system stats: Windows XP 32-bit SP3 Nvidia GeForce 7600 GT 256mb Intel Core2 Duo E6400 @ 2.13GHz. 4GB DDR2 Dual-Channel RAM (but only 3.5GB Read-able due to 32-bit OS) ASUSTek Computer INC. Basswood (Socket 775) MicroATX Mobo 233 GB Western Digital WDC (SATA) (Refer to screenshot to see full version) As for YbeV: I recommend re-installing 2.12 as the display error is minor, in terms of the performance upgrades provided by 2.12. Sometimes, you don't have to necessarily see something working, to know it's working.
  16. I don't have an offline selection and here's a screenshot. And, yes, I do have that box checked.
  17. Where do we post to report errors with the forum and our account on the forum? Because I have it set to receive every single notification via email and my account here - yet, even though I'm following topics, I'm not receiving a single one of those notifications in either area. And then I go on to the main index and see that there's no place to report any problems with my account - which definitely seems like something to report about.
  18. Is this what you mean by "name a pagefile to confirm this"? Refer to screenshots below.
  19. It does not show the Page File separate from the "Not Fragmented" - it all shows up as blue. View the screenshot below to see in more detail. This only occurred when installing version 2.12.628. Version 2.11 worked just fine.
  20. Hi, I noticed that for the moment there are only 2 options for Priority of the Defraggler, in reference to the computer using CPU in certain places. By default it's set to normal, but can be placed in "background." I just thought that you should add the ability to have it set to be on "Above Normal" and "High" for those users that prefer running it at those settings. Granted, I already do this every time I open Defraggler and run it on my computer via Windows Task Manager, but I thought it'd be more convenient to have the ability to have it set already when it's opened up.
  21. Lol turns out my system is so far gone that OTL Fix didn't work at all... and I still have the same problem... Keep in mind though, since I've started this forum post, I've updated 7 programs and re-installed 1. I still firmly believe that it's v3.09 and NOT my computer - and that OTL is out-of-date...
  22. Take that back, it still didn't work for me.... Sigh.....
  23. Again, not to be rude or blunt, but I'm sorry if I seem very aggravated in these posts.... But I have, to this date, posted well over 6 PROBLEMS in these forums with both Defraggler and CCleaner - Not a SINGLE one has been fixed to this day. So, forgive me if I am a little be aggravated by such constant postings and no problems solved...
  24. Wrong, I never once said that the problem with installing CCleaner 3.09 was fixed... I said I fixed the agent.exe file from running at 50% CPU usage - Which STILL stands, I did indeed fix it... It's all solved... NOT CCLEANER.... Also, not to be rude or blunt, but as I said with the other guy in the Spyware Hell Forum, I swear to god, it's your software... I just tried to install CCleaner 3.09 on 3 DIFFERENT COMPUTERS - Not a SINGLE one was successful.... Yet, every single one of them was successful with 3.08.... Not to mention, NONE of these computers use Frostwire, utorrent, etc. and I cleaned ALL of their Spyware, Malware, viri, etc.... Keep in mind, these are NOT my computers and I don't use them very often, so it's definitely not just my computer, not my programs, and not my software.... I swear to god, It's your software...
