  1. Speccy 1.10.248 On 3 different Windows 7 64-bit systems that I've seen, under the RAM section, the virtual memory (aka page file) is being reported as 7.99TB (terabytes). This does not happen on 32-bit Windows 7 from what I've seen, only 64-bit. http://speccy.piriform.com/results/2WbPJQeTCIfiPjbUhW5z7tT http://speccy.piriform.com/results/6X1NkBeZCmD6IcZG72W1wh6 Obviously, this value is erroneous as it is impossible to have a page file [many times] bigger than your hard drive. Thought you guys might want to look into it. Thanks, kN
  2. Thanks, MrG. I'm curious to know how this happened...
  3. Visiting a Snapshot link gives another blocked Trojan:
  4. While perusing the latest version of Speccy (1.10.248), I noticed something odd under Network. with the ending x's being the rest of my public IP. I didn't have a clue what this was, so I blindly copied the address (hxxp://www.nsa-lab.com/js.php < intentionally delinkified for this post) into Google Chrome to try and figure out what was going on. When I do that, I get this: The javascript is: Posted about it on the Staff forums at BleepingComputer.com, and Grinler (Lawrence Abrams) posted this: Pretty sure this would be considered a critical security flaw. -kN
  5. Well, the motherboard manufacturer isn't always the computer manufacturer. Typically I'm helping individuals with OEM computers (Dell, HP, Toshiba, Asus, etc.), and I need to find the exact brand and model to point to the right drivers to install. Searching by motherboard is a waste of time, and asking the owner rarely works. I come across custom builds occasionally, but don't usually deal with them (somebody else will always know more than I do about customs). It seems like it would be a simple thing to just add the brand and model in the summary page. It would make my job a lot easier. Hopefully this will be implemented in a new release soon.
  6. Is it possible you can add the computer's manufacturer and model (like you can get from msinfo32.exe) to the list of things Speccy reports (and publishes)? Knowing the hardware is great, but sometimes when helping someone, we need the brand and model to be able to point to the right drivers and such. Having all that (brand and model) in the published report would be fantastic. Thanks, keyboardNinja
