  1. MrG - workaround: (1) Open CC (2) Option > Settings > UNCHECK [ Add "open CCleaner - - etc. ] (3) Close CC (4) Open CC (5) Option > Settings > CHECK [ Add "open CCleaner - - etc. ] Right click Recycle Bin now recognizes changed winapp.ini file. Note following changes which correct bugs for *my* Win 98se box for 3 security apps: *************** [Grisoft AVG 7] Section=Security Detect=HKLM\SOFTWARE\Grisoft\Avg7 Default=True FileKey1=%allusersprofile%\Application Data\Grisoft\Avg7Data|*.log FileKey2=%allusersprofile%\Application Data\Grisoft\Avg7Data\upd7bin|*.* FileKey3=%allusersprofile%\Application Data\Grisoft\Avg7Data\$history|*.* FileKey4=%allusersprofile%\Application Data\Grisoft\Avg7Data\avg7upd|*.log FileKey5=%windir%\All Users\Application Data\Grisoft\Avg7Data\upd7bin|*.* FileKey6=%windir%\All Users\Application Data\Grisoft\Avg7Data\avg7upd\$history|*.* FileKey7=%windir%\All Users\Application Data\Grisoft\Avg7Data\avg7upd|update*.* FileKey8=%windir%\All Users\Application Data\Grisoft\Avg7Data|*.log FileKey9=%windir%\Application Data\AVG7\Log|*.log FileKey10=%\$VAULT$.AVG|*.fil [spyBot Search and Destroy] Section=Security Detect=HKCU\Software\PepiMK Software\SpybotSnD Default=True FileKey1=%windir%\Application Data\Spybot - Search & Destroy\Logs|*.* FileKey2=%windir%\Spybot - Search & Destroy|advdebug.txt FileKey3=%windir%\Application Data\Spybot - Search & Destroy|Statistics.ini [Ad-Aware SE Personal] Section=Security DetectFile=%ProgramFiles%\Lavasoft\Ad-Aware SE Personal\Ad-Aware.exe Default=True FileKey1=%ProgramFiles%\Lavasoft\Ad-Aware SE Personal|defs.ref.old FileKey2=%ProgramFiles%\Lavasoft\Ad-Aware SE Personal\Logs|*.txt ************* "Section=Security" my change at your prior suggestion to get my security apps. in one place.
  2. New topic related to earlier post: ( 1) If I right click Recycle Bin to get to CC, and then analyze, it does not find the -log.txt file. (2) If I run CC directly, and then analyze, it FINDS the -log.txt file. ????? 1.27.242 (beta)
  3. Running Ad-Aware SE Personal on Win 98se system. Log file is created in: C:\Program Files\Lavasoft\Ad-Aware SE Personal\Logs Winapp.ini as supplied does not work. changed winapp.ini to read: [Ad-Aware SE Personal] Section=Security DetectFile=%ProgramFiles%\Lavasoft\Ad-Aware SE Personal\Ad-Aware.exe Default=True FileKey1=%ProgramFiles%\Lavasoft\Ad-Aware SE Personal|defs.ref.old FileKey2=%ProgramFiles%\Lavasoft\Ad-Aware SE Personal\Logs|*.txt CC detects AAW and places it in my "Security" category ( I know I'm not "supposed" to tweak winapp.ini, but have done so successfully up to now.) log file is (named by the program: Ad-Aware log2006-02-09 09-47-18.txt I placed a simple one line test.txt file in that subdirectory and CC did not find that as well. Using 1.27.242 (beta) - sorry for the double post. I just re-ran CC an now my changes work ???? 2 prior runs with same winapp.ini tweak failed ????
  5. I have tried this work around, and it works fine: (1) Enable the Macromedia delete block, and run CC, which indeed will clean out the text cookies as well as the .sol files. (2) Go to the Macromedia settings manager: http://www.macromedia.com/support/document...ger.html#117118 Set everything to "none" or "Always Deny", and then exit. A new "master" .sol file with these settings will be created in the appropriate subdirectory. ( In my case: C:\WINDOWS\Application Data\Macromedia\Flash Player\macromedia.com\support\flashplayer\sys ) (3) Go to CC, and uncheck the Macromedia block. Macromedia Flash will work fine, but the "cookies" and subsidiary .sol files will now not be created. This appears to be a fixable bug - the program should exclude the "master" .sol file and only delete the .txt cookies and the "sub." .sol files.
  6. Thanks, MrG - Works, as always ! I assume that this coding is applicable toward further group customization Terrific app, btw.
  7. I've re-keyed my "Security" apps - Antivirus, Adaware, WinPatrol, etc, - to: LangSecRef=3028 This successfully creates ( under "Applications" ) an unlabled group check block with the changed apps indented and check-blocked alphabetically, and they are all recognized by the program, with all functions normal. Reason - I want to enable / disable ALL these apps. with one click and I like them seperated from the "Utilities". The line: ; 3028 = Security added in the header is apparantly only a remark. How can I add "Security" as a blue-titled header/lable for this group ? Purely cosmetic, I know.
  8. I have successfully added a few new programs entries to winapp2.ini and modified some existing entries to fit my configuration, but this one has me stumped. I have created a folder at the root level called C:\Dump I temporarily put certain files in that folder in order that I NOT mistakenly delete them from the Recycle Bin. Periodically, I want to enable the Dump folder for cleaning via CC. Here's my initial set up: ___________________ [DUMP] LangSecRef=3025 DetectFile=%rootdir%\Dump Default=True FileKey1=%rootdir%\Dump|*.* _____________________ If I change the DetectFile to something like "DetectFile=%windir%\WINFILE.EXE" Dump will show up with a checkbox under "Windows" in applications, but NOT with the setup above. In either case CC will not recognize the files in that directory. What am I doing wrong ? First problem I've had in a great application.
