Not sure what the correct FK10 would be as I assume the "0.7.42.1" would be different but in that folder I want to remove all *.TMP files...
And yes I just used CC on a system that has AOL installed...

Added FileKey10....

What is "SCCM" please?
-
Try uninstalling CCleaner while in Safe Mode then restart the computer, Do a scan with Malwarebytes and once no errors - download a fresh copy of the 534 inastaller and see if that he;ps you?
-
I believe your desktop cache is corrupted. What is your OS please?
-
All the "recent documents" item does is give you easier access to the documents you recently opened. the files themselves are still there - just not the links to them.
-
I think it would be a very good idea if in [ https://forum.piriform.com/index.php?s=6d292192365d541e7cbae62e0fc9670f&showtopic=32310&page=1&do=findComment&comment=175835 ] someone could say how to save the "Direct Link" using different browsers. For example - for FireFox, Right click and select "Save link as". Not sure for IE, Edge, Chrome, etc....
-
I assume you are using the latest winapp2.ini and CCleaner versions? Also - you can delete the %windir%\prefetch\*.pf files, reboot 3 times, then rn the following command to defrag the drive.
C:\Windows\System32\rundll32.exe advapi32.dll,ProcessIdleTasks
which will aso need to be run as administrator. Or use a 3rd parth defragger.... Private message me for suggestions if you wish.

The winapp2.ini I copied from the development link above has: Version: 170329
Why is the one from today not available?

It seems that winapp2.ini development is not getting updated. Is the correct web address to copy from:
I copied the file this AM and the header is:
=== begin paste ===
; Version: 170329
; # of entries: 2,571
; You can get the latest Winapp2 here: https://github.com/MoscaDotTo/Winapp2
; Any contributions are appreciated. Please send them to the link above.
; Is CCleaner taking too long to load with Winapp2? Please head to this link and follow the instructions: http://www.winapp2.com/howto.html
; Valid commands can be found on the first post here: https://forum.piriform.com/index.php?showtopic=32310
; Please do not host this file anywhere without permission. This is to facilitate proper distribution of the latest version. Thanks.=== end paste ===
but I recall an update being announced a few days after 17-03-29......

The [Windows Shellbags*] re-addition is another one of those irritating "Why is my File Explorer not maintaining the view settings I set up for it?" items that filter into Winapp2.ini. It causes the view size of File Explorer to go back to the default and also removes any user added columns from a user's File Explorer. I know there is a warning message in the code; however, I do not think registry key cleaning benefits warrant the potential user irritation factor from having to spend time figuring out why view settings are not be retained....particularly if a user is not really computer savvy.
My vote is to take [Windows Shellbags*] back out.
And I would like to see [MS Notepad*] for the same reason.
JMO.
Why not keep a separate file of dangerous or not widely needed or wanted entries.

OS: Windows 7 Home Premimum x-64
What is the entry that behaves like the Windows XP Shellbags but for Windows 7 machines? IOWs to remove folder customizations please?
-
What is the link to download the most updated winapp2.ini (I guess that would be the development buld ?) please?
I currently download from [ https://raw.githubusercontent.com/MoscaDotTo/Winapp2/master/Winapp2.ini ]
-
Maybe if someone could post the entry mentioned.... it might help us to understand what it means... please.
-
I would like to see if there is a way in winapp2.ini or similar to clear the data for
Control Panel > Internet Options > Privacy tab, Location > Clear Sites.
Wondering if it's a registry data or a file somewhere.
Any help greatly appreciated.

You can download the current CCleaneer from the official site:
-
I feel that this entry is something that will not be used by Winapp2.ini users because it doesn't work on normal CCleaner executions and going into Safe Mode is not a tactic that most users enjoy doing.
Why not then add a warning that it mainly works in Safe Mode?

Awesome
One more thing I forgot to mention and I do not know how he gets that figure. Just below the version number, there is this:
; Notes ; # of entries: 2,579
Unless he can tell us, my suggestion would be to eliminate that count until a correct number of entries count can be placed within the file
Since each entry must start with [ then just count the number of "[" in the file...
which for "Version: v5.24.161210" is 2,549

Book keeping, among some other uses for winapp2.ini that aren't kosher for this forum.
Do you mean good uses for WinApp2.ini for the other cleaners that the file uses? Or entries that are too dangerous for the general public?
-
That's funny, Thought i fixed that already. Hmm.. looks like I fixed it in one but not the other. It's fixed now: https://github.com/MoscaDotTo/Winapp2/commit/4b28df2153733887815492cafb2602510e8687a1
According to CSGalloway, they are not called Yahoo! anymore, it is just Yahoo. Those other entries from Yahoo may need to be fixed as all the FileKeys point at the old name still.
I checked the Help | About and the EXE file properties and both just show Yahoo. Not Yahoo!. I am not sure if the old Yahoo Messenger is still available. So my vote would be to keep the old entries as is...

I use JPSoft's TCMD and convert the line endings. The line that does the line ending conversation is the TPIPE ( http://www.datamystic.com/textpipe.html )
echo. if not isdir "C:\TCMD\WinApp2_Ini\" md /s "C:\TCMD\WinApp2_Ini\" copy "https://raw.githubusercontent.com/MoscaDotTo/Winapp2/master/Winapp2.ini" C:\TCMD\WinApp2_Ini\Winapp2_Unix.ini echo. rem convet UNIX to ASCII TPIPE /input=C:\TCMD\WinApp2_Ini\Winapp2_Unix.ini /eol=0,2,0 /output=C:\TCMD\WinApp2_Ini\Winapp2_Ansii.ini echo. copy "C:\TCMD\WinApp2_Ini\Winapp2_Ansii.ini" + "%UserProfile%\Desktop\Galloway Desktop\INI_001\custom.ini" "%ProgramFiles%\CCleaner\Winapp2.ini" echo.

I had heard that there were some problems with 5.23 bu not sure if the one on the site still has them? I think it had to do with not removing some log files?
