  2. Here is the entry that I exported from CCleaner.exe [Temporary Internet Files] ID=1001 LangSecRef=3001 LangRef=3101 Detect=HKCU\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer Default=True SpecialKey1=N_INT_TEMP I have no idea what N_INT_TEMP does and I searched all the forums on Piriforms site and no relevant matches were found. No ideas - maybe contact the programmer -
  3. What is the entry that lists SuggestedSites.dat? I have windows 7 still and don't have anyhting you mentioned pasted \Windows\ ...... that path does not appear in the *.ini files inside CCleaner.exe or in the current winapp2.ini - so not sure how it's getting found in the first place
  4. You should check everything in IE - except cookies. Also remember in Windows 10 - there is Edge and IE. The other thing I can think of is maybe there is a antivirus program running that is trying to connect to the internet?
  5. What windows version are you running? What happens if you run CCleaner while in safe mode?
  6. Why not if your suggestions don't help - to delete the Icon cache file then reboot? [Icon Cache*] LangSecRef=3025 Detect=HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows Default=False Warning=You may need to restart explorer.exe for this to take effect. FileKey1=%LocalAppData%|IconCache.db
  7. 1) It might be wise to see if %windir%\system32\more.com actually exists 2) also might want to try running a full antivirus scan....
  8. Modified entry: added filekey7 [Kaspersky*] LangSecRef=3024 Detect=HKCU\Software\KasperskyLab Default=False Warning=Make sure to disable “Self Defense” before cleaning. 9. So the last update would be the last time WinApp2.ini was updated - hence "Current version: 5.15.160311"
  10. Thunderbird entries have Thunderbird in the entry name. Seems redundant. [Thunderbird Corrupt SQLites*] [Thunderbird Crash Reports*] [Thunderbird Extensions Log*] [Thunderbird Install Log*] [Thunderbird Maintenance Service*] [Thunderbird Minidumps*] [Thunderbird Net Predictions*] [Thunderbird Startup Cache*] [Thunderbird TestPilot Error Logs*] [Thunderbird Update Logs*] [Thunderbird webappsstore.sqlite*]
  11. The latest CCleaner is 5.16 but the latest winapp2.ini is 5.15 - any idea when a newer INI file will be released? I know @winapp2.ini does this on his free time - but just curous..
  12. I am on the email list for a few groups on Piriform - there has been a lot of S.P.A.M. the last few days. Maybe he means he blocked the senders today.....??
  13. 14. Then is his personal winapp2.ini posted somewhere? If so, where?
  15. Are there any entries in your personal winapp2.ini that are others might like - ? It might be nice to post it and make sure it doesn't conflict with the main winapp2.ini for this thread...
  16. I think it would be a great idea if there was some verification on the items in both of these tab windows to see the items listed actually do exist, at the bare minimum. Or if not have a suggestion for some other utility that would do the thing I am suggesting....
  17. New Entry: [NT Registry Optimizer*] LangSecRef=3024 DetectFile=%ProgramFiles%\NT Registry Optimizer\NTREGOPT.EXE Default=False FileKey1=%LocalAppData%\Microsoft\Windows\UsrClass.bak FileKey2=%WinDir%\ServiceProfiles\LocalService\NTUSER.bak FileKey3=%WinDir%\ServiceProfiles\NetworkService\NTUSER.bak FileKey4=%WinDir%\System32\config\COMPONENTS.bak FileKey5=%WinDir%\System32\config\DEFAULT.bak FileKey6=%WinDir%\System32\config\SAM.bak FileKey7=%WinDir%\System32\config\SECURITY.bak FileKey8=%WinDir%\System32\config\SOFTWARE.bak FileKey9=%WinDir%\System32\config\SYSTEM.bak

  19. @RocknRoll: It is for downloading updates from FileHippo.com but since the updates would have bene already installed - didn't see the need for a warning. Other similar applications, e.g. "Download App" do not have a warning..... as shown below [Download App Downloads*] LangSecRef=3024 Detect=HKCU\Software\CBS Interactive\Download App Default=False FileKey1=%Documents%\Downloads\Download App|*.*

  22. winapp2.ini Version: v5.13.151221 has: [jv16 PowerTools-X StartupOptimiser Logs**] Might want to remove one of the *'s at the end....
  23. I had moved files files from an external drive to my c: drive and along came some BAK and TMP files - so I hought it might be nice to add the option for other winapp2.ini users to check their 4 user folders to see if they have any. I think Amazon Music program places a TMP file in %Music% folder - not sure when but maybe whe4n it checks for upgrades top the software...
  24. * New Entry [Custom TMP and BAK files*] LangSecRef=3025 Detect=HKCR\Applications\explorer.exe Default=False FileKey1=%Documents%|*.bak;*.tmp|RECURSE FileKey2=%Music%|*.bak;*.tmp|RECURSE FileKey3=%Pictures%|*.bak;*.tmp|RECURSE FileKey4=%Video%|*.bak;*.tmp|RECURSE
