  1. Thanks kroozer. Couldn't believe how big these were until I searched them out. Removed all but two Restore Points and Defraggler running much better now with Frag level at a respectable 3% after last run. Thanks again for the help.
  2. I have a new Toshiba Pro L670 running Win7Pro on 64bit OS. I have also installed XP Mode to keep my peripherals compatible. In the past I have used Defraggler and CCleaner on XPHome when setting up a new computer or reformating, running both each time I load a new program. Both Toshiba notebooks running XP have been through 2-3 reformats without problems. On the other hand, my new laptop running Win7Pro does not seem to be fairing as well. While file numbers do minimally decrease after each run, the percent fragmentation is climbing drastically, starting at 4% after one program was loaded (MSOffice2010) to 48 hours and 5 programs later and standing at 25%. Whole sections will not defrag, even if done separately. While I can run rings around XP, this new Win7 system has me stymied. Screen captures below show 1. rebooting after last program loaded 2. fresh power on this morning 3. the highest sized fragments are System Volume Info. Is this a quirk of Win7 or am I missing something? Thanks for any assistance with this.
  3. I too find having a logfile after Defrag to be helpful. I save the previous 4-5 in case of recurring problem areas. Perhaps, this would be a suggestion for "Defraggler Suggestions"? Sam
