im again on this topici have tested with 3 different browsers on one actually post from a user with "avatarproblem" or what the problem is...
This example can be followed well why the representation is false by certain settings related to the profile picture in combination with Topicname. The developer may know more and can remedy this.
By default, is probably a shadow image of a woman or a man. Maybe this user has an incorrect format or otherwise used, resulting in that the forum can not be displayed correctly (specifically with Firefox)
can be done in the case of a "faulty Avatars" replaced automatically with the default pictures (standard-settings of profilpic) such as a new registration?this may perhaps eliminate the incorrect display in a simple way.

How would I scan just my downloads folder?you will delete only the content of your download folder?
Is there an easier way to scan just that folder without excluding the rest of the C drive?perhaps this help you
1) use the include option and choose the type of files/folders that you will delete and check the point "cleaner-->windows-->custom files and folders"
2) if you dont want cleaning your C drive and only your custom download folder --> uncheck all points in "cleaner-->windows (without custom files and folders)" and "cleaner-->applications"
look at the 2 screenshots: (any nicer someone deletes permanently the 2 photos, perhaps the pics remain standing.)

I simply want to avoid having to turn my PC off when I leave it, and wondered if this was necessary, as I read somewhere the machine is more open to attack, or vulnerable to hackers, if left on while unattended.i can give you no real answer, because i am not a hacker ...
(but in doubt ...switch of - better safe than sorry)

on my hitachi also 3 mb/sec :-))
the "calculation of drive performance" makes 2 gib jumps with my Hitachi ...
1.) 20 to 40 %
and
2.) 59 to 80 %
perhaps missing something of hitachi that has the seagate?

disconnect internet connection?
energy saving (cpu, hdd and monitor shut down and current systemstatus goes up to ram) or sleep mode (image is written to hdd and shut down)
with both options your pc boot time is faster

help this? there are the places where ff have his datacollection stored -- go to your second profil, there should be the files you looking for.

registration should be "cleaned" only in an emergency.
in worst case helps only a new installation and upgrading to w10 without registry-cleaning...
Is that trueI did not see nor read in the forum about this.

perhaps this help:
save your ff-profil or only your bookmarks on another place (usb or other partition), deinstall ff and delete all mozilla/firefox-folders in your profil in windows. reinstall ff and insert your copy of your bookmarks back

i have try another thing... with install an older version 5.07 and check the option under "Einstellungen" -> "Einstellungen" -> "Automatisch nach Ccleaner Updates suchen"

with unchecked "show removeable drives" --> usbsticks and usb HDs are not looked

Please realize that hazelnut pointed to the hotfix from Microsoft, thus it's a (dead version of) Windows issue and not ccleaner

like the OP i have winXP with SP2. when i run ccleaner 5.03 i get BSOD. i went back to 5.02 with no issues.means there is a change in ccv503 that canceled the support for xp sp2...that is not in ccv502. be it intended or not.
but you have right --> xp with sp2 is out of date and no longer supported for quite some time and sp3 too from microsoft.
--> with this context its alright that piriform also no longer supported xp sp2 and makes no changes for this and support only for sp3.
