ff 63.0 23. October 2018 New Performance and visual improvements for Windows users Moved the build infrastructure of Firefox on Windows to the Clang toolchain, bringing important performance gains Firefox theme now matches the Windows 10 OS Dark and Light modes Performance improvements for macOS users Improved reactivity Faster tab switching WebGL power preferences allow non-performance-critical applications and applets to request the low-power GPU instead of the high-power GPU in multi-GPU systems Added content blocking, a collection of Firefox settings that offer users greater control over technology that can track them around the web. In 63, users can opt to block third-party tracking cookies or block all trackers and create exceptions for trusted sites that don’t work correctly with content blocking enabled. WebExtensions now run in their own process on Linux Firefox now warns about having multiple windows and tabs open when quitting from the main menu Firefox now recognizes the operating system accessibility setting for reducing animation Added search shortcuts for Top Sites: Amazon and Google appear as Top Sites tiles on the Firefox Home (New Tab) page. When selected these tiles will change focus to the address bar to initiate a search. Currently in US only. Fixed Resolved an issue that prevented the address bar from autofilling bookmarked URLs in certain cases Changed In the Library, the Open in Sidebar feature for individual bookmarks was removed The option to Never check for updates was removed from about:preferences. You can use the DisableAppUpdate enterprise policy as a substitute. The Ctrl+Tab shortcut now displays thumbnail previews of your tabs and cycles through tabs in recently used order. This new default behavior is activated only in new profiles and can be changed in preferences. Developer Refreshed visual style of Developer Tools menus to improve navigation and consistency The Dev Tools accessibility inspector is now enabled by default. This tool surfaces information exposed to assistive technologies on the current page, allowing you to check what’s missing or otherwise needs attention. Added support for Web Components custom elements and shadow DOM The inspector now ships with a Font Editor that allows you to control non-variable as well as variable fonts Developer Information unresolved Quick Heal internet security software might crash 32-bit Firefox on Windows. A workaround is documented from this support article until a fixed version of Quick Heal is available.

  12. Is Slimware/Driver UUpdate, part of the Piriform package?

    oh sorry nukecad my mistake
  13. Is Slimware/Driver UUpdate, part of the Piriform package?

slimware utilities is a rival of piriform/ccleaner since years ago -> driverupdate is only another tool from there as for example recuva or defraggler from piriform https://slimware.com/slimcleaner https://slimware.com/all-products be careful with this - i dont know if this tool work fine now but in the past it did not so good. wrong driver for the wrong chipset you know... and then strained nerves and unnecessary work after a wrong installed driver...
  14. increasing Memory usage

no, i have not looked for memory usage. i will looking in the future... normally are 2,5 gb are in usage yes, especially if windows think to create an restore point or other things in kingsize (gb´s) like an dumpfile or so
  15. Is Slimware/Driver UUpdate, part of the Piriform package?

try to look in the "uninstall" section of ccleaner and looking for "slimware/driverupdate" and if you want -> uninstall "slimware/driverupdate" or similar after an restart look at the "startup" if there is some kind of "slimware..."
  16. Is Slimware/Driver UUpdate, part of the Piriform package?

this is not ccleaner. its a competitor -> slimware perhaps you have installed "slimdrivers" or somethings similar
  17. increasing Memory usage

perhaps its a windows-thing - after many years and updates... can help format c: and a new (clean) install of windows ;-)

  19. ublock users

ublock v1.17.0 gorhill released this a day ago New Per-site JavaScript master switch A new per-site switch has been added to the popup panel, which acts as a master switch for JavaScript for the current site. This master switch has precedence over dynamic filtering rules and static filters related to script resources. Furthermore, when JavaScript is disabled through this master switch, noscript tags will be honoured on a page (as opposed to when just using filters/rules to block script resources). As with some other per-site switches, the default state of per-site JavaScript master switch can be set in the Settings pane, thus allowing to disable JavaScript everywhere by default, and enable on a per-site basis: JavaScript master switch rules appear as no-scripting: [hostname] true entries in the My rules pane. Temporarily toggle per-site switches From now on, changes to the state of per-site switches will be deemed temporary if and only if the overview panel is visible, regardless of whether "advanced user" mode is enabled. When the overview panel is not visible, toggling a per-site switch will cause the change to be permanent (i.e. same behavior as before). However, when the overview panel is visible, toggling a per-site switch will cause the change to be temporary. In such case, there will be an eraser and a padlock icon in the overview pane, which can be used to revert or persist the current state of all the per-site switches. Cache storage compression A new advanced setting: cacheStorageCompression, default to true. When true, uBO will lz4-compress data before storing it in its cache storage in supported platforms. Currently, the only supported platform is Firefox/Firefox for Android. The cache storage is used for storing downloaded filter lists, compiled filter lists, selfies. See uBlockOrigin/uBlock-issues#141 for related discussion. Closed as fixed Firefox Error loading from the disk cache pages obtained by blocking remote fonts "Storage used" in settings tab says "? bytes" It's really a workaround, consider the reported figure to be an on-the-low-side estimate Element picker mode in Firefox CSS failure on denuvo.com Firefox for Android Cannot open Logger. Element picker/zapper does not switch tabs. Core Use +js name for logging No reverse-lookup for logged HTML filter EasyList Thailand added to stock filter lists Various spelling fixes “manualUpdateAssetFetchPeriod” setting doesn't save the changes False positive detection of popups is broken "uBlock — Assets" should be changed to "uBlock₀ — Assets" in its tab Minor JS errors in dashboard Code exception in contentscript.js (vAPI.setTimeout) when opening Chrome last session tabs that are partly cached Element picker mishandles identifiers with backslashes Minor usability issue: block all scripts Toggle option changes are always permanent uBlock Origin doesn’t honor noscript tags when blocking JS

  23. Internet Explorer 11 update(s)

the cumulative updates are normally for linear-install in direction of future - it seems work in direction of past too i think with the smaller rollup there are a few things deliver later for your personal kind of windows - if i remember me darkly you have write in the past you installed security updates for windows and security updates for ie11 separatly + preview rollups... perhaps there are some of the ie-updates out of date (in your update-collection) that are replaced? and windows was so smart to change this kind of older update-versions perhaps you have become the "best" securityagency-updates of ie11
