  1. Cleaner hangs and gives error then crashes when trying to clean Windows Temporary Files Folder (TEMP/TMP) when relocated to SoftPerfect's Ram Disk. Works for Firefox, Chrome and Internet Explorer cache on SoftPerfect's Ram Disk but when I changed the enviromentals for TEMP/TMP CCleaner gives an error and crashes when trying to Clean. Sometimes even acts oddly and does not Clean Firefox and Chrome's history too when Firefox and Chrome's web cache is relocated to SoftPerfect's Ram Disk.
  2. More: C:\ProgramData\TEMP\*.* - This folder is used to temporary store files used by installed and uninstalled programs. (Hidden, 5/5)
  3. Never had such a problem with the latest CCleaner and Windows 7 Professional 64-Bit. I have virtually all services disabled in my configuration and never had problems re-enabling them...where's the ReadyBoost service that use to be in Vista? Are you sure you're not using any other Disk or Registry Cleaners besides CCleaner? Any chance you messed with GPedit.msc and disable some Windows functions in there? Have you scanned you system with the latest antivirus and antimalware software with updated definitions?
  4. Hi, I've made what I think is a short list of safe files/folders to add to the included list for cleaning in Windows Vista/7 32/64-Bit, feel free to add to my list so I can include them in my cleaning sessions. *Please provide at detailed information of the files/folder to add and why it is safe to include for cleaning.* *You can include a star rating out of 5 for how safe it is to include for cleaning.* My list for far in Windows 7: C:\Users\(Your User Name)\AppData\Local\Downloaded Installation\*.* - This folder is used by installations to download temporary update files if necessary for installation. (Hidden, 5/5) C:\Users\(Your User Name)\AppData\Local\Temp\*.* - This folder is used to store temporary files used by installations and Windows. (Hidden, 5/5) C:\Windows\Downloaded Program Files\*.* - Windows uses this folder to download temporary? program files used for Windows updates? (4/5?) Attributes, Hidden = Not normally seen in Windows Explorer, Go to Control Panel, Folder Options, View, Click 'Show Hidden Files, Folders and Drives' to show the folder. Star Rating = How safe it is to include for cleaning, 5/5 meaning safest. Remember, this is just a user based star rating and does not mean it's 100% safe to clean. You have to decide whether is totally safe to include for cleaning on your system configuration. Happy cleaning,
  5. Hi, HKCR\Wow6432Node - ActiveX/COM Issue as seen by CCleaner after I deleted my exclusion entry and rescanned to see if the problem is still there. Unfortunately, I cannot recreate the freeze, no uninstall programs list again. However, I will keep updated if this happens again in the future. *I've uploaded a snipping capture of the ActiveX/COM Issue as seen on my computer.* Thanks,
  6. First off I'd like to say hello to everyone in the forum, I'm new to this forum and this is my first post. I've been using CCleaner since XP in 2005 and have been ever since. In my opinion it's the best and safest cleaner out there, all this and it's free! WOow64! System Specs as seen on CCleaner: CCleaner.com v2.25.1025 MS Windows 7 64-Bit AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 6000+, 4.0GB RAM, ATI Radeon X1200 Series Bugs found in Windows 7: HKCR\Wow6432Node - Registry entry always shows no matter how many time I clean/delete it, I looked in regedit and seems to be important. Good thing CCleaner doesn't really delete it, it just thinks it's doing it and then shows again in next registry scan. I had to put this one in the exclude list. HKLM\Software\Auslogics - Registry entry always shows no matter how many time I clean/delete it. CCleaner actually delete this one but Auslogics Registry Defrag recreates the entry after successful registry defrag. I tried to exclude this one but CCleaner will not allows me to do so. Please note: This does the same in Windows XP but in XP I am able to exclude this entry. Random Crash - Sometimes when clicking on Tools tab to view Uninstall, CCleaner presents a error report and freezes for a moment. The program does not close or stay frozen but the error report does and the Uninstall programs list is empty. I've sent is a report for this one but not too sure if it got through though... Other information: Windows 7 Professional 64-Bit Retail (All Windows Updates as of November 12, 2009). Auslogics Registry Defrag v5.5.20.525 (Latest, no new updates).
