  1. well i can see the thumnails on some, and just file names on others with "no preview" using the latest versions.
  2. i'm also having this problem... why say wipe free space completly removes the files when it doesnt? does anyone know how you can? or a programme that can do this? or do you have to wait until that part of the harddrive is overwritten? cheers
  3. didn't try... there's just a load of thumbnails... why would they be there if ccleaner was supposed to wipe em? cheers
  4. i ran recuva, and had alot of old files... i did a gutman wipe with ccleaner, and a clear white space. when i went back into recuva, all the files were still there... surely this defeats the purpose of ccleaner? or is there something i'm missing here? thanks
  5. i'm having the same problem, i did a wipe with the Gutman wipe, checked with Recuva... and all the files were still there... then did a wipe white space, took about half an hour... and when i opened up Recuva, they were all still there? it kind of defeats the purpose of the cleaner.
  6. cheers, i take it Normal file deletion can be retrieved easy enough...
  7. it says it's faster... does it permantly delete files? or are they just easier to recover? also, what's wipe free space... is this nessasary to completly delete files?

  9. just curious, if i was to do a simple wipe on 3 different occasions, is this the same as doing 1 DOD , -M (3 passes) i'm thinking yes... like wiping a table 3 times?
