Are the blue colored files in my windows folder
Andavari replied to slowday444's topic in The Lounge
Backups are stored in the '...RegSeeker\Backup' folder, just double click it to restore it, you may want to open the .reg file in something like Notepad to see exactly what it removed which I highly recommend doing since sometimes RegSeeker removes more than what it lists/what you think it's removed - always look at the backup it made! If you need a rather big exclude list I can post it in here, the exclude list I built will protect a number of software titles/windows settings that RegSeeker will F'up royally. -
Not retarded at all. I remember some early first gen PlayStation 1 games that had the audio tracks on the game disc as if they were and audio CD, the tracks could be ripped with an audio CD ripping program - of course I ripped all the tracks of my games that were made that way, too bad game developers don't have them that way now. Probably the most game music I have is from the Final Fantasy soundtracks, I also like the qwerky techo sound from Descent 3 (my favorite spaceship fighter game of all time) which was downloadable in low quality 128kbps mp3 format many years ago on mp3.com by AutoPilot.

Most of the options are already pre-configured during setup with good settings. I would however highly recommend that you download Columns UI and a few pre-configured format strings from the Columns UI website since it will take the bland default user interface to something very appealing and more useful. If you spend about one or two hours here and there playing around in Columns UI you should be able to configure the GUI to your own preferred look and ease-of-use. Mine is dead plain but that's how I like it.

I forgot to mention I do like video game type music as well, sort of hard to not like it since I grew up in the video game era which is still popular.

The only way to speed up those free online virus scans is to disable your resident/real-time protection in your installed antivirus, which is what I've been doing for 5+ years when using online virus scanning services. Now if I leave eTrust EZ Antivirus' real-time protection on my scan at MSWLSC would take at least 25% longer, it's currently at about 28 minutes to scan, well it actually takes approximately the same amount of time to scan my whole system as eTrust EZ Antivirus does.

It can be sized down to this: or you can just use it via the systray which has playback controls using the Default User Interface and with Columns UI. The visualization window isn't appealing at all so I'd have to agree. However it can be completely disabled, and removed from the GUI via right clicking the menu area. FB2K wasn't conceived to be another WMP or Winamp, hence the reason it loads so fast and has a wide playlist area that makes it easy to see the artist, title and album without necessarily having to click upon the file properties. To each their own though, because I used Winamp for years and there wasn't any way to convince me that anything was "better" up until Winamp started having skipping problems in practically every audio file I played - hence my exodus to FB2K. As far as player mem usage goes it does matter what type of audio format you're playing, e.g.; when playing Ogg Vorbis (.ogg) I've seen the mem usage go up 1MB or so however I'm used to seeing about 7MB usage while it's loaded and not playing a track, however that spikes to around 8.5MB when playing a track.

Are the blue colored files in my windows folder

That's why I immediately run CCleaner, EasyCleaner, and RegSeeker after deleting them, I don't know if there's any other remnants since I only run those three which are pretty thourough (well enough for me) when ran back-to-back. -
I listen to Hard Rock, Instrumental Metal ("Instrumetal"), Instrumental Rock, and Metal. For the past ten years I've primarily listened to Black Metal, and Death Metal and it even sounds lite/easy listening to me now - nothing is heavy enough anymore. This isn't even close to all the stuff I like since I have over 2000 audio CD's: Accept, Amorphis, Benediction, Black Sabbath, Bolt Thrower, Candlemass, Cannibal Corpse, Carcass, Cathedral, Coroner, Danzig, Death, Demolition Hammer, Dimmu Borgir, Dio, Dismember, Grave, Grip Inc., Emperor, Entombed (their old stuff when they played death metal), HammerFall, Hypocrisy, Incantation, Jason Becker, Joe Satriani, Judas Priest, Kreator, King Diamond, Mayhem, Mercyful Fate, Meshuggah, Moonspell, Morbid Angel, Motorhead, MSG, Napalm Death, Nevermore, Overkill, Ozzy Osbourne, Paradise Lost (up to the 1995 release Draconian Times), Primus, Pungent Stench, Raise Hell, Samael, Savatage, Six Feet Under, Slaughter (Canada) (no not the glam-metal band from the late 80's-90's), Slayer, Steve Vai, Tiamat, Trouble, Type O Negative, Unleashed, Vinnie Moore, Vision Of Disorder, Yngwie Malmsteen

The registry itself may need to be compacted/defragged using either RegCompact.NET or NTREGOPT.

After you delete them you may want to run several registry cleaners because the one in CCleaner ("Issues") won't find all the left over remnants in the registry. -
Ha ha ha I can't believe you'd even take the time to decipher it, just goes to show that typos exist in the "beeping language," maybe we should start typing all our posts in Klingon.

I'm also using a Columns UI format string that I completely customized.

If you are at all worried use the current stable release version which is 0.8.3, that's the very I happen to be using at the moment however I "may" give the beta a spin later on. Pretty harsh words for one of the best damned audio players ever created. Care to elaborate since you're publically putting it down? I'm dying to know why you think it "sucks" right here in the forum and not via a PM! Fb2k is a feature rich audio player that plays a plethora of audio formats, I tried Winamp again just a few days ago and it only lasted a few minutes on my system since it's functionality doesn't even come close to fb2k's. Btw the developer used to make Winamp plugins some years ago! Right on brother! Here's a high five for speakin' the truth!

Version number in the taskbar! 5.12 looks the same.
-
How about Winamp? You've got an old version installed. Mine, nothing much has changed since I posted it a while back on the forums.
-
I'll give it a try later on by removing some of my bloated apps ("Office 2003, etc.,) and setting them up as a virtual cd.

Even better yet get QuickTime Alternative: http://www.free-codecs.com/download/QuickT...Alternative.htm While you're at it you may want Real Alternative: http://www.free-codecs.com/download/Real_Alternative.htm -
Media Player Classic is what creates dxva_sig.txt on my system in the folder where a *.wmv is played from. WMP however doesn't create those files on my system.

Same old f***ing s**t, someone always posts that goddamned link.

I'm thinking many of you that are pretty computer
Andavari replied to slowday444's topic in Software
Not necessarily any bigger at all, well maybe only a few bytes for the code because it could just pull and autosize the icons down and display them from the already installed application just like Explorer does. -
CCleaner installed but does not display on all names
Andavari replied to CHUCKKNEE's topic in CCleaner Bug Reporting
Not very helpful information. To make things quick and easy just do this: 1. Start a command prompt (start, run, cmd.exe) 2. Paste into the command prompt window the following parameters: move "%userprofile%\desktop\ccleaner.lnk" "%allusersprofile%\desktop" 3. Done! -
Dell is good about giving a Resource CD will all the software on it, more than likely the installer is on it somewhere. Reinstall it then attempt an uninstall immediately afterwords and it may be removable. Edit: BTW most .msi installers have a comment in them when right clicking them which plainly states what the installer is e.g.; Jasc.....
