  1. I hate the new UI and I tried the newest version, still not cleaning cookies.sqlite properly. I just include cookies.sqlite and nuke it completly. I really have no reason to update to the later versions.
  2. I deleted cookies.sqlite, then ran the browser to a couple of sites, closed it and ran ccleaner and this is the result. cookies.sqlite file: SQLite format 3 € @ -æ ü }Í ~EÅ}Í v)#-indexmoz_basedomainmoz_cookiesCREATE INDEX moz_basedomain ON moz_cookies (baseDomain, appId, inBrowserElement)‚}##…Atablemoz_cookiesmoz_cookiesCREATE TABLE moz_cookies (id INTEGER PRIMARY KEY, baseDomain TEXT, appId INTEGER DEFAULT 0, inBrowserElement INTEGER DEFAULT 0, name TEXT, value TEXT, host TEXT, path TEXT, expiry INTEGER, lastAccessed INTEGER, creationTime INTEGER, isSecure INTEGER, isHttpOnly INTEGER, CONSTRAINT moz_uniqueid UNIQUE (name, host, path, appId, inBrowserElement))5I# indexsqlite_autoindex_moz_cookies_1moz_cookies € z~¯~c~}«}_|ø|Ž{Ì{} M %1piriform.comrteStatusrteforum.piriform.com/^á È7Ï͈ È2&¬ø? !‚# google.comNID67=uMAYcf5fbO37Snm3UcdKa-VKL_urHHhggXHt5E6VDKnYejRD7uuuOkK_zwox9nfqz0gDnIw6B9bd6zHuXn_r285qscX1Xd7vGo-7QphkJIl3ULFMOqC5SBrWAwLP-u2q.google.com/VRP¦ È2#e È2#e h %c'piriform.comipsconnect_01e159226e22e75fb8ea35b62d36f0fe1.piriform.com/UjH˜ È5I` È1\);e %M' piriform.compass_hash75c6d4eb10e10fe14867fb56ae46c6bc.piriform.com/UjH˜ È1\)8 È1\):J %' piriform.commember_id24246.piriform.com/WBA˜ È1\)8 È1\)9k -M- lanik.usphpbb3_4irvu_sid9b571249c81ec0505518c4916805f3d8.forums.lanik.us/WBA… È0,Sø È0,SûI ) - lanik.usphpbb3_4irvu_k.forums.lanik.us/WBA… È0,Sø È0,SúJ )- lanik.usphpbb3_4irvu_u1.forums.lanik.us/WBA… È0,Sø È0,Sùg c lanik.us__cfduiddfca9544e513bc9604bbb76a212529d411432423938.lanik.us/WBA… È0,Sø È0,Sø` U!imgur.comAZUSERue1-aa9533a7e4df4e95be7000a4ca7e2954.imgur.com/WBA! 3. Nothing is running when I close the browser.
  4. session restore is disabled here and cookies.sqlite still has entries, even though ccleaner says its clean. The browser is closed, no popup saying to close it. There are no cookies listed or cookies to save yet there are entries in the cookies.sqlite file. Windows 7 64bit Palemoon Version: 25.4.1 (x64) Ccleaner 4.14 through 5.05 no difference

  6. session restore is disabled here and cookies.sqlite still has entries, even though ccleaner says its clean. I just added cookies.sqlite to my include list.
  7. Added Social Media links FAIL New improved GUI FAIL
  8. You can disable aero while gaming by rightclicking the icon you use to open the game and go to properies and click compatibility and check the disable compisition box. I would also get a new power supply, something like a corsair 650 would do it as power supplies are known to cause problems. Also make sure your cpu cooler is clean and under the fan look for lint/fur blockage, same for the video card, overheating can do this too. http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/easily-disable-vistas-aero-before-running-an-application-such-as-a-video-game/ Examples of dirty cpu coolers http://www.theregister.co.uk/Print/2010/11/26/ventblockers_2/
  9. I see if you do a drive free space wipe the files are securely overwritten. Guess CCleaner is on top of it.
  10. Yes the [DELETED][uNKNOWN] If you move files from one drive to another, the [uNKNOWN] folder contains these files. Does anyone know how to navigate these folders? I cant find anything on the web mentioning these files and folders. you can drag the [DELETED][uNKNOWN] files to your desktop and they are very much intact.
  11. Win7 64 if you open 7zFM.exe as admin and open the \\.\
  12. [DELETED] [sYSTEM] $Extend All my drives have these folders...I used 7zip as admin and clicked \\.\ and browse my volumes and they all have the folders and the [DELETED] folders have my "deleted" files.

    Site Preferences?

I'd like to know too. There are the obvious selections, then the site preferences. Are we talking my noscript whitelist or something I really wouldn't want removed? Thanks
  15. What first alerted me was the new version availible page, then the download with the same name, but diff size. And then the file had no signature tab......this was from Piriform's own link. I had to download it again to get the screenshots. I also noticed there was no toolbar offer in the Oct. exe so maybe there was a hiccup.
  16. Version History v3.24.1850 (25 Oct 2012) Why does the update page give me v3.24 with a Nov digtal signature? And 2 different sized files?

  18. I always do. 1 pass works but 3 passes only does 1 pass it seems. Latest version
  19. I tried twice to wipe free space and it runs but is says 17 minutes remaining, progress bar at about 35% and then just stops and says wipe successful. Why is it doing this? I rebooted after the first try and watched the drive fill up to about 300MB left on my C: drive and then it stopped but still had 17 minutes remaining. I have it set to 3 passes.
  20. There are some lengthy discussions about it here http://forum.piriform.com/index.php?showtopic=35534 http://forum.pirifor...showtopic=22380
  21. OCSP.TKO2.VERISIGN.COM 199.7.57.72 The new version does it too. Why does recuva do this and Ccleaner doesn't? I found it stores files in AppData\LocalLow\Microsoft\CryptnetUrlCache\Content and MetaData I have Ccleaner set to clean these folders, They are a securely encrypted copy of your entire windows and internet browsing history on the system. Maybe thats why? It has this key: recuva.txt
  22. It opens slow and so did the last version for me. It wants to connect to the internet even if check for updates in disabled. It wants to connect here OCSP.TKO2.VERISIGN.COM 199.7.57.72 After it connects it wont do it again but if you run Ccleaner it will want this IP again. I hoped it would be fixed this build, but I guess not. I have Recuva blocked in my firewall and it then takes a long time to load, resulting in a Event 1014 Name resolution for the name ocsp.verisign.com timed out after none of the configured DNS servers responded. Why ocsp.verisign.com needs to know when I run the program everytime is beyond me.
  23. Outlook Express emails.zip has disapeared! I don't see it. Not sure if a M$ update did it or the new eraser got it or the ccleaner unused space wipe did it. ??? Anyone still have it?
