No Kaspersky is very slow. Expect to leave it on over-night

Its definitions are easily the best, it there is malware there it will find it. We use it in the malware removal community to help us diagnose if infections are present. Also the logs are in a very readable format. Its simple to actually delete the things it finds.

Its a HIPS like program used for real-time protection. Supposed to be good, but HIPS tend to be too complicated for the average user. Have heard of it causing conflicts with other AVs

Try run CCleaner in safe mode You can visit the Spyware Hell forum to rule out malware if you want but I don't think malware is responsible for this myself. Sometimes these files just don't get deleted, ~DF41FB.tmp, it doesn't mean anything
