can't upload Yahoo Ticker Setup file to that place.. cuz can't get that file even.. (i think setup is automatic.. on line.. but not sure . could not get that far) Can you (or anyone else) maybe get that file from them there somehow.. and i can try maybe to install it that way.. or upload it to that above mentioned virusscan site....

BUT as i stated in above post.. - i already DID .. over and over again.. with no success Who knows.. maybe my computer is messed up bad somehow.. lol Unless there is another logical explanation out there.. Hi All, Yahoo has now this Beta Ticker .. for News, Weather, etc (sounds like what i ve been looking for) -----> My Yahoo! Ticker Beta ("News, weather and stock quotes delivered right to your desktop.") It's here: http://next.yahoo.com/ In the bottom of the page there, click on "My Yahoo! Ticker Beta" .. or go directly to http://edit.ticker.yahoo.com/config/slv4_page?.p=ticker You see there "Download Beta" button .. All you got to do, basically, is click on it.. and it will install the Ticker... Others are running it after all... - BUT - it would NOT install for me Minimum requirements it says there (on that download link above) - "Requires Windows 98 or above and Internet Explorer 5.5 or above" .. - On my computer here, i have Windows ME and IE 6.0.. so i should be OK.. BUT, again, no luck for me Here is what's happening to me ( as i posted on their board there .. but "no replies" ) .. I got rid of WeatherBug also... It was buggy - for me anyhow.. with Celcium Then i went to Google and looked for other Weather S/W, and after trying a few.. - i installed and running this one... I was running IA 6.0 (for Win ME) on my PC... Heard some good things about FireFox... BUT never tried it.. LOL, .. i just went and downloaded and installed, BOTH - FireFox and this Maxthon that you mentioned.. and they are both pretty Good actually I like 'em.. Browsing currently with FireFox.. Maxthon installed me some WeatherBug thingy.. i actually don't mind it IE is still my default one ... for now anyhow

I just used A-Squared FREE somewhat... (had it installed for a while now .. but hardly used it) Upon checking for Update.. it upgraded to version 2.0... And then i scanned a bit with it... It found a bit of crap - in registry, tracking cookies, etc.. and i deleted those.. but i never went though the whole scan.. (when it went to files .. it went for long time without finding anything.. so i stopped.. cuz i know PC should be pretty clean... but, lol - A-Squared 2.0 identified my MiRC as "high risk" IRC.Client programs... and even checked them on it's own... hehe - i use MiRC on occasion - so i unchecked those checks..and left MiRC alone Earlier i tried SuperAntiSpyware FREE version (talked about above).. and it did find some stuff also.. - this and that.. mostly some tracking stuff, etc.. So i quarantened them too.. (or deleted them - can't even remember what the proggy did with them) Found it to be pretty good actually.. Other then that - as i mentined earlier - my Antivirus is AntiVir (Free version) .. - i find it to be pretty good... Also use Ad-aware, SpyBot, Spyware Blaster, and now i guess A-squared and SuperAntiSpyware on occasion

Some of these programs have some "Real-time protection" thingy.. (or something like that) Would you people recommend enabling it? Or just run your PC without enabling this.. and from time to time just scan it for adware, malware, etc?

Is SuperAntiSpyware (mentioned above) - any better than Ad-aware, Spyware Blaster and SpyBot .. that i am currently using?

I guess STOPzilla is quite a controvercial S/W... Most people do NOT like it.. but there are few that say it is OK... Here.. Google's search found me a link (among others) with many comments (on the bottom there) about STOPzilla... Just to let everyone know: at that page there (above) : The first one there - the Standard Build.. the one with the Toolbar: "CCleaner v1.30.310 - Standard Build 1,423KB Download now" If click on Download button for it - it gives version 129 still (instead of 130) Maybe someone can fix that... .... The other 2 Builds (Slim and Basic) - ARE OK .. they both give 130

IE7 - ?? Using IE6 here.. but on Windows ME and 98 Second edition on my computers.. Is IE7 for XP only or something .. or for ME / 98 as well? Thanks in advance...

ya.. those are still 127.. - the only way to get 128 for now anyhow - is to get full package 128 .. with toolbar etc.. - and when installing it.. - if don't want the tool bar, uncheck it's installation...
