  1. Hi! I was downloading it from builds, and just did again and scanned and all is clear! Thank you for your time and help. So appreciated.
  2. Hi. Thank you for your reply. When I saw that you had re-scanned and it came out clean, I downloaded another copy of ccleaner slim and ccleaner free (standard version) and ran them through and the slim had same result as my one from yesterday, I then ran the standard free build through and got the same result as yesterday, snip shown below. I was hoping it would come back clear as yours had, but it didn't. These were run 20 or so minutes ago. Perhaps I used different download then you. Both I had were on ccleaner.com I appreciate you saying that it is truly nothing, but I never put anything on my pc that has any results on virus total and I don't update ccleaner very often, and last time I recall I had a similar issue, and posted here and then days later, it was clear. Thank you for your help.
  3. Hi! I downloaded from ccleaner.com. First I did slim and then the full free version and both have this (malicious) result on virus total shown below. I understand that it may not be anything at all, but I never install ccleaner unless virus total is clear. I am not technically able to understand this, but will not install with this result, even though as I said, someone may reply that this is not any issue. I looked in the forum for similar threads and didn't see any so posted this here. Can someone let me know what this is about and if it will show clear on virus total in the future. Thank you!
  4. Hi. Thank you for writing. I don't have any anti virus on my pc but I have never installed any programs that come back from virus total like that, If there is any issue on virus total with a program, I don't think it's a good idea to install it. In my experience with using Virus Total; sometimes programs will come back like this, and I report it and then the issue is gone. I would never feel safe as I don't understand software enough and every program I use on my computer has always been clean. If there is nothing to fix, then I guess I have to find another product. I've used ccleaner for a very long time and so will miss using it. I'm sure I just don't understand false positives, but have seen programs with this before and it is always fixed so that it doesn't happen on virus total like that and then I install it. I appreciate your response.
  5. Hi, I looked in the files before asking and didn't see anything. When I ran the ccleaner download thru virus total mcafee hits it and says has artemus virus. Same occurs using the slim download. I don't feel safe to install on system. Is this going to be fixed? Thank you so much.
  6. Hi.. It is asking to closes windows explorer..
  7. Hi, ccleaner asks to close windows explorer to clear mru files, but isn't that like shutting my operating system off? nothing bad has happened when i've allowed it, but i don't know if i should continue to allow it. I appreciate any input on this, to know if it is safe for me to close windows explorer when ccleaner asks. thanks..
  8. Hi, I downloaded free ccleaner from this site and virus total shows there is a win32/bundled toolbar google d in this download and says is potentially unsafe on virustotal. I don't want anything downloaded with ccleaner. Is this a false positive, or is it bundled with ccleaner? Thanks.
  9. Hi there! I've been using CCleaner a long time and Firefox a long time as well. It's my default browser. I don't use Internet Explorer at all. I was wondering why CCleaner shows IE files cleaned, almost every time I run ccleaner. I run CCleaner many times a day. I've always wanted to come here and ask about this but never did get to it till now. Thanks for your help and thanks for CCleaner!
  10. ETA: ah, i've got ver 203.532.. just noticed is new one out..
  11. Hi, When I run CCleaner, it removes lots of cookies. And I am guessing when I open ie7 that ie7 must reload them in, though I've no idea. If I run CCleaner two times back to back, of course the 2nd time comes up clean. So the cleaner is doing the job, but the cookies are there when i run it later. I don't know what custom things mean. I don't think I have anything custom. But am not sure what CCleaner is referring to (herein the forums) when speaking of custom. Does that mean like if i create a folder or such? But my main question is how do I keep cookies gone. it's the same ones over and over and not the ones I've said keep. Thanks for your help. Casey
