  1. I know this thread is several months old - if there's a better one, let me know - but I wanted to say that Maxthon should be supported by CCleaner. It is a browser used by millions worldwide. Thanks.
  2. Hello, I hope you are doing well. I was trying out the different features of Ccleaner (I have been using Ccleaner for years, but this is the first time I've used it for Windows 7), and checked Wipe Free Space. It's been running for some time, and now it's only 6% done. I have a 320GB hard drive, and only a small part of it is used, so I foresee a very long process ahead. I would like to cancel this, but am not sure if it is completely safe to. If I cancel it, will my hard drive or any part of my computer run into problems? And if I do cancel it, is there anything else I have to do? Please give me any information I need. Also, can I partake in other activities (e.g. using Photoshop and playing games) while Ccleaner is running on Wipe Free Space? Thank you, Vic
  3. Opera 10 doesn't even show up in the newest version of CCleaner when I run it on my computer.
  4. Hello, I hope you are well. I am using CCleaner to clean out the Apple Safari browser. Even with all the options checked in CCleaner, my recent searches - which show up when I start typing in the Google search bar, located on the top right corner of the browser - still show up. Any way to completely clear everything in Safari using CCleaner? Thanks.
  5. I am using Windows XP, Service Pack 3. The browsers I use are Internet Explorer 8, Google Chrome 2, and Firefox 3. Thank you, Victor
  6. Thanks for replying. Looking at the list, I see Web sites that I have not visited in at least two years. I use Ccleaner to clear just about everything in the Windows and Application tabs, but all the cookies in the "Cookies to Delete" panel in Options never disappear. Any thoughts on this? Thanks.
  7. Hello, I have been using Ccleaner for years, and today, after going into the Options > Cookies tab, I see that I have hundreds of items listed in the "Cookies to Delete" panel. How do I go about clearing this panel? Thanks.
  8. Hello, I would like to clear my list of cookies from the options panel. To be more specific, I am talking about the cookies in the "Cookies to Delete" list that I can get to by clicking Options > Cookies. I am using the current release of CCleaner, v2.07.575. Any thoughts? Thank you.
  9. Thank you for all the replies. These analogies, definitions, and examples helped a great deal =)
  10. Ah, thanks for letting me know. I initially thought it had something to do with the Recycle Bin - perhaps clean the Recycle Bin and clear it of more sensitive items or something - but it didn't seem to say anything like that, which is why I asked. Thanks again.
  11. Hello, I recommended Defraggler to my friend, who does not know a whole lot about computers, and she asked me what exactly does Defraggler do. I use Defraggler and O&O Defrag, and have been using defragmentation utilities for years, but I wasn't sure how to give her a simple answer. I explained that over time, a computer running Windows will have files that are "stored" in places that aren't the best and that some things may get fragmented, so these applications will help put those items back in the right place. Can someone offer a better newbie explanation? Perhaps it would be better if I could tell her exactly what the end result for her would be, as in what differences will she notice after running one of these utilities. Thank you.
  12. Has anyone tried ZC Video Converter? I downloaded the retail version for free from GiveawayOfTheDay.com a while back but have yet to try it. I heard some good reviews about it, so just wanted to throw the software's name out there.
  13. Thanks for posting a review, pavs. I did see that you reviewed another defragmentation utility, Power Defragmenter, less than a month before Defraggler (the review is posted here). Which would you say is better? Thanks.
