Thanks, but this does not solve what I am wishing for. If Settings -> Personalisation -> Start -> Show recently added apps is unchecked, then it does indeed not show any apps. But this does not CLEAR/DELETE the apps from the list as right-clicking -> Remove from list does. If the checkbox is selected again, then all the apps are again shown - they were not deleted from the list, only hidden temporarily. I want the effect of "Remove ALL from list", so that only newer apps will be listed from then onwards. The same for Settings -> Personalisation -> Start -> Show recently opened items in Start, Jump Lists, and File Explorer Do you know the files or registry keys where these are stored? This is actually some file history AND a list of recommended apps. There are suggestions online for how to remove the Recommended section at the bottom of the Start menu using group policy, but this only works for Windows 11 SE, the Education edition. Does anyone know where the file history and the list of recommended apps are stored? Registry or a file? There is an "ExplorerPatcher" utility on GitHub that manipulates the UI automation tree to not generate the Recommended section, but all I want CCleaner to do is delete the file history and list of recommended apps periodically.

Thanks. Confirmed that is where I find the references to the Adobe files that are not being deleted. It would be neat if a "Custom registry keys" feature could also be added like the "Custom files and folders" feature. And a "Registry key" option added to the Options -> Include dialog, like the Options -> Exclude dialog has. How does the Adobe key update and the above feature suggestions get added to the developers' task list?

CCleaner v 6.08.10255 is still not deleting history in Adobe Acrobat Reader v2022.003.20314. Can this be added? When will it be added?

After checking almost every settings possible in CCleaner v6.04.10044 the "Recommended" files listed at the bottom of the Windows 11 Start menu remain. The only way that I can find to remove these is right-click -> "Remove From List" for each files individually. Is there a way to remove this history using CCleaner? These files do not appear in the File Explorer "Home" list on Windows 11 v22H2 (OS Build 22621.608) - that history has cleared successfully.

CCLEANER portable build 5.92.9652 is not deleting Adobe Reader DC history. It does not show any history if a scan is run on just the Adobe Reader DC item. I have tried unchecking and rechecking the checkbox. Any other ideas please?

Hi all, CCleaner is not clearing the Outlook FIND cache. Specifically, I am referring to the history for the FIND function when searching the Contacts folder in Outlook 2003. Does anyone know where Outlook stores this history? Thanks

Suggestion: When defragging free space, if the "move large files to end of drive" flag is checked, then large files at the end of the drive should be ignored (ie. not moved). It seems that defragging free space then moves the large files from the end of the drive back to the end of the main data block. This is very time consuming and contradicts the flag setting. This results in the large files being moved back to the end of the drive next time a normal/full disk defrag is done. But great work!

Hi - Skype does not appear to make it simple to add entries to the WINAPP2.INI file to clear its history. And despite setting the latest Skype not to retain history - IT DOES retain some history from one session to the next! This history can be deleted manually through the Tools->Options->Privacy "CLEAR HISTORY" and "CLEAR COOKIES" buttons. It would be great if CCLEANER could delete all the extraneous bits of history. I'd like to suggest that CCleaner adds Skype as an application. CCleaner does not appear to clear call and chat history for Skype.

The Windows Movie Maker "Collections" list is not being deleted by CCleaner v2.04.543. The only way to delete the file names is to click the Collections button in Movie Maker, select each file and press the Delete key several times.
