  1. Looks like another FP as Norton Internet Security 2007 is flagging the CCleaner installer/uninstaller as adware.cpush. It is also flagging Second Life as having the same. http://www.dslreports.com/forum/r18678299-...-as-AdwareCPush
  2. Your welcome, let us know how you get on.
  3. Hello Dolly and welcome to the forum Could you please write in normal size font please, it looks as though you are shouting. Here is a link to the beginners guide, if you have a read it will answer quite a few questions for you. http://www.internetrotsyourbrain.com/ccleanerbeginnersguide/ Basically there are 2 parts, the cleaning of temp files etc, and the issues cleaning (this bit asks you if you want to make a backup before you do it.) You press the analyse button and it will show you what files it is cleaning up and then you press run cleaner, and it cleans them up. The issues cleaning is about cleaning up old entries from the registry which are no longer needed (this is the bit that offers you a choice of making a backup. If you do it will be saved it my documents and if you need to restore it just right click on it and choose merge.) Any way Dolly give the above a read, and then give it a run.
  4. I think, therefore I am... but if I only think I am how do I know I am?
  5. What about the safe mode option listed here? http://www.planetamd64.com/lofiversion/index.php?t19428.html

    Sandboxie

I opened the sandboxie gui and clicked configuration, edit configuration. I entered openFilePath=C:\Documents and Settings\your name\Application Data\Opera\Opera\profile\opera6.adr openfilepath=C:\Documents and Settings\your name\Application Data\Opera\Opera\profile\wand.dat to save my passwords and any new favourites and then clicked reload configuration. Yes it is a bit complicated, the faq's on it here are not what you call easy to understand. http://www.sandboxie.com/index.php?SandboxieIni

    Sandboxie

Just saying how I use it Craig. I use opera and always right click run opera sandboxed whenever online. (IE7 is still my default) When you are on these forums, you are on the internet, and as Humpty said, Sandboxie is a great firstline defence. Yes it's okay to delete the contents, if you have downloaded anything while online, it will ask if you want to recover it. As I download to my desktop I always say recover to same folder after highlighting the folder to recover, and it then appears on my desktop.
  12. Just to give folks some idea of what swap/paging file is and how to set it http://computermemoryupgrade.mysuperpc.com...file_size.shtml
  13. Some instructions that may help you do a screenshot of your problem... Take a screenshot of your screen by pressing the PrtScrn button once (to the right of the F12 button) Do start, all programs, accessories, paint. Do edit, paste. Then file, save as file type jpeg or png (important,) and name it something you will remember and save it in my documents or my pics, where you will find it. Then go here http://www.imageshack.us/ Press the upload button and browse to where your file is on your computer and click open. Then click host it! When it gets to the next page, (can take a minute) click once in the second line down to highlight it, and then right-click on it and choose copy. At the forum in your post, right-click and choose paste, then press the add reply button. You won’t be able to see the picture just the address until you post your reply.
  14. Vista especially eats up a lot of space with system restore. Andavari's idea of some kind of logs slowly eating the space sounds logical. How do you connect to the internet, does it keep logs anywhere, or perhaps firewall logs? You could have a look at your program files in c drive and when you hover curser over the folder see if the amount shown is way out of line. Some software has been know to just grow with info it doesn't or shouldn't need to save.
  15. Could you just give a bit more information balloonatic. Are you XP or Vista? Are you saying you have the 1.41 version, if so where did you download it from? Are you saying that when you open CCleaner and do analyse and then the run cleaner button there is some left over that isn't cleaned? Are you able to show a screenshot of what's left to help us try to solve your problem?
  16. Try right-clicking on the CCleaner desktop icon and choosing run as administrator.
  17. In outlook express, I can right click on the message header, choose properties, then details tab. This shows me the details you are looking for, unless they hide it of course.

    Bedroom Golf

Just a bit of info here If a statue of a person on a horse has both front legs in the air the person has died in battle. If the horse has one front leg in the air the person died as a result of wounds received in battle. If the horse has all four legs on the ground the person has died on natural causes. If the horse has all four legs in the air the statue has fallen over.
  19. Hello and welcome to the forum Having just had a quick look at what exactly it does according to their site.... To use VocALign you need to select a segment of audio to use as the guide from one track and one or more channels of Dub audio from other tracks. The Guide and Dub audio may also come from different positions the editors timeline. The resulting Aligned audio must then be placed into a target track at a position calculated by VocALign so that it is aligned in time with the Guide audio. Nether the VST, Audio Unit or Direct X interfaces allow a plug-in to be created that can work this way. http://www.synchroarts.co.uk/default.asp I take it you must have had a try at the demo and liked it. Lets hope there are some members here who may have some ideas to help you.
  20. Already deleted, but with a backup....just in case
  21. Please try not to post in other users topics. Your particular question has been asked already http://forum.piriform.com/index.php?showtopic=11038 http://forum.piriform.com/index.php?showtopic=11037
  22. It would be helpful if you perhaps posted a screenshot of the files while in CCleaner window. Are these files one you have had a long time? Is this an issues clean or a "normal" clean? XP or Vista?
  23. Seems to be a bit of an issue at the moment http://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=179884
  24. Just wondering if anyone else has these in "issues to delete" after the windows updates. Noticed there are 2 KB items, which are microsoft updates. Could be they are just being uninstalled on microsoft's say so after the net framework security update.
