  1. Are you able to go into start>run and type services.msc and then press ok? If you can make sure the fast user switching is enabled to auto and that Secondary Logon is auto.
  2. Runaway, the image you posted at the bottom of post number 7, (here is an image of webTV), I cannot see it. What was it?
  3. Have you tried plugging it in just in case it works ?
  4. Probably would be an idea to get the model number Tarq, unless someone says it cannot be done.
  5. I run the slim build from here, no toolbar, no language files, just CCleaner. http://www.CCleaner.com/download/builds.aspx
  6. It is not up to the creator of CCleaner to fix as it is not a bug. The problem is that some virus/malware products flag uninstallers as malware when they are not, it is a false positive on their part, and once they are informed they usually update their definitions. Just last week Norton was flagging CCleaner and Second Life uninstallers as Adware.CPush.
  7. Does this page show what your problem looks like when you do >start>run msconfig? http://ask-leo.com/why_is_there_a_blank_en...up_entries.html
  8. Report it to Bullguard as a false positive, and hopefully they will update their definitions.
  9. Thanks for letting us know, it may help someone else.
  10. Another user reported if he unticked the windows log files box in CCleaner, it stopped happening. Do you want to give this a try?

    Woodworking?

Go for it Jago, others have, and they look good. I am sure yours will http://www.ecogeek.org/content/view/62/1/ http://www.voidedwarranty.com/PC_Case_Revi...p2_articleid/46
  12. It may be a good idea to make sure you have no instance of CCleaner on your computer, download the setup to your desktop (by choosing save) and double click it and it should install. Try downloading the slim build (if English is your first language) from here http://www.CCleaner.com/download/builds.aspx Remember to choose save not open when downloading.
  13. Could you give a bit more info such as operating system and version of CCleaner.
  14. To use CCleaner you have to save it to your desktop and install it before use. Choosing run when offered the download box on a website will not install CCleaner onto your computer. When you have the setup on your desktop ready to install, is it called something like ccsetup.141.exe or just CCleaner.exe?
  15. This is a very common occurance where anti virus/malware programs see uninstallers as trojans etc. It will be a false positive, I am sure. I have contacted Bit Defender regarding this and will let you know as soon as I hear anything.
  16. Just to clear things up are you are choosing save, not run when downloading the new version of CCleaner? Where are you downloading it from?
  17. Couple of bits of reading for you Rob http://www.dellcommunity.com/supportforums...message.id=4736 http://www.techspot.com/vb/topic14328.html
  18. CCleaner does not work as a system restore Rob. What it does do is when you do an "issues" clean it offers you the option to save a back up of the registry entries it is going to delete. This is saved by default in my documents and you right-click and choose merge to reinstall them, but only if you chose to use this backup option when offered it. Firery's ideas of reinstalling drivers sounds about right (sorry for the pun, not intended!)
  19. You have also posted this question here, please don't double post. http://forum.piriform.com/index.php?showtopic=11224
  20. Hello User000, it would have been a better idea to just put a link to all this info rather than pasting it into your post. It is very, very long
  21. Would you like to give a bit more info please, such as operating system and what custom files you are talking about.
  22. Yes 1.41 is the latest version. Here is the official site http://www.CCleaner.com/download/builds.aspx The standard build has the yahoo tool bar ( which you can choose not to install) I use the slim build.
  23. Dennis I accept on behalf of the forum ladies. Those roses smell lovely!!!
  24. Dennis dear, just asking on behalf of the women of the forum, do you like hospital food?
