They have said they will fix it in a future update.

@spurz Are you able to create a new Windows local account as a test ? ( don't do the Microsoft account one ) You may have an issue with the profile you are using which is preventing CCleaner from installing. https://www.digitalcitizen.life/create-local-non-microsoft-account-windows/ https://www.digitalcitizen.life/create-add-user-windows-11/ If this is a step to far for you I understand.

Significant lack of cleaning for Opera browser 6.18.10838
hazelnut replied to bazzaman's topic in CCleaner Bug Reporting
It says in the latest build info.. Fixing bugs and other improvements ''We’ve resolved an issue where bookmark backups from Opera (GX) were not detected on Windows 7 and 8.1. '' https://www.ccleaner.com/ccleaner/version-history No idea about Win 10 and 11. -
Have you tried right-clicking on the file and selecting 'run as administrator'? And when you go to https://www.ccleaner.com/ccleaner/builds Make sure you install the Slim version.
-
Are you using Win 10? If so make sure you have your system set up to show file extensions in File Explorer.

It installed because of your recovery partition size (900MB) By default it is around 500 or 522 MB at install of operating system. Microsoft wants you to add 250MB by resizing it through Disk Management yourself. They resized Win 11 users partitions for them, there is no reason why the cannot do the same for Win 10. I dread to think of how many millions of machines this has affected. Also how many people tried to resize it themselves and now have no working machine.

Technically it was an ideas site for users to suggest things for CCleaner and it was put online by Administrators, but no one is looking after it. We have asked, and asked, for it to be removed from the Ccleaner forum because it is just a spam machine. We have been asking/begging them to take it down for almost a year now but so far they have done nothing.
-
Can you give the full website address of that site please because ideasccleanercom does not exist. The live one is https://ideas.ccleaner.com But it is full of spam and not really worth visiting. The CCleaner administrators do not monitor it and I believe it may be outsourced to a different company.

CCleaner 6.19 Reboots Windows 10 Home 22H2
hazelnut replied to Butch 33823's topic in CCleaner Bug Reporting
Every time you do what? Health Check? Registry Clean? Custom Clean? What Security software do you run? What have you tried ( we are not mind readers) -
Perhaps try opening CCleaner, click on the Applications tab at the top, then right-click on the word Microsoft One Drive and select Analyze and if there is anything there, double click on it to get a list. This is under Custom Clean and One Drive must be ticked to see the list.
-
Which drive are you trying to wipe? Also see here https://support.ccleaner.com/s/article/how-to-use-drive-wiper?language=en_US
-
All the best to you login123 and everyone else out there too.
-
It is not recommended to clean the registry anymore unless there is a specific problem. https://community.ccleaner.com/topic/59952-i-get-a-registry-error-on-ccleaner-on-windows-10-i-have-scanned-5-times/?tab=comments#comment-326804 Even Microsoft recommends that you don't clean it.

I updated the usb as well. The boot menu I use for restoring an image from a working Windows. The usb I use for restoring an image from an external drive when Windows won't boot.
-
Just tested for you and my boot menu works okay with Macrium Free version 8.0.7783 I couldn't do the auto update from within Macrium itself as I had the HTTP error 403 which quite a few other users had too, so instead I just downloaded the full setup and installed it over the top. All previous images were retained. 64-bit: https://download.macrium.com/reflect/v8/v8.0.7783/reflect_setup_free_x64.exe
