  5. I ask the same. If this is how Just ME Onlyme got his download for CCleaner from then there is little point in continuing this thread, it looks like a repack.
  6. Firewalls.

If you click once the Windows start (you know the 4 white squares at left bottom of taskbar) and immediately start typing the words... Windows Security... you can then click on the result and see at a glance about your firewall. You don't have to look where you are typing when you do that, you can type anything you will get a result eg. notepad
  7. My sincere condolences to a trusted old friend.

Similar to nukecad I use Win 10 without a Microsoft account and have disabled OneDrive. I like Win 10. I use CCleaner 5.40 on one machine and other versions on 2 other machines (to compare) The latest CCleaner builds I untick just about everything under options

Try installing the SLIM build from here https://www.ccleaner.com/ccleaner/builds Also make sure an existing version of CCleaner is not running in the background when you are trying to install.

I would try the corrupt recycle bin fix I posted above, it's safe to do and many people have used it.
  13. CCleaner doesn't appear to clean

If you right-click on the recycle bin (which shows under System on the left hand side panel of ccleaner) and click on 'clean empty recycle bin' does it still show as having something in it if you analyse it afterwards?

  17. CCleaner doesn't appear to clean

So are you saying that the recycle bin shows as empty but CCleaner says it isn't? If that is so then you may have a corrupt recycle bin. See here https://forum.piriform.com/topic/42673-corrupted-recycle-bin-fix/
