  6. Are steps going to be taken to stop the CC browser taking over file associations?
  7. @MB Sprinter I think I would be annoyed as well !! Thing is I don't think that folk should have their file associations hijacked (even if you have fixed it ..well done ) You are not the first to complain about this https://forum.piriform.com/topic/54346-ccleaner-browser-problem/
  8. SFC will say it is unable to fix corrupt files after being run on Win 10 when Defender is the anti-virus. This seems to be due to an update from Defender this week. See here for more details (also scroll down the page for screenshots) https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/news/microsoft/windows-10-sfc-scannow-cant-fix-corrupted-files-after-update/

  11. Do you mean ''downloading it'' or ''using it'' ? If it was as you were downloading it from the internet, where did you download it from? Can you give more info such as what operating system you have, and if it was when you ran CCleaner did you do a registry clean as well?
  12. Avast acquired CCleaner in July 2017 so it's not a recent thing.
  13. Digital cert with sha1 and sha256 looks ok to me.

  18. I can assure you that behind the scenes Piriform run a vigorous take down of scam CCleaner sites . They have taken many down this year alone.
  19. I have managed to break a few things Having to post this in a different browser now. After a couple of screenshots Snip 'n Sketch refused to close or save so I am not able to posts the screenie of CC browser where it says''Your browser does not accept cookies which are required to log in'' Possibly to so with some cookie setting changes I made in Advanced settings (I think I said 3rd party only) I tried to change the forum theme while in CC browser and got the error screenie below. Also while in the browser on our forum , I saw this on main page at the bottom under Forum Rules.
  20. Some feedback. Find in page works well. In advanced options all Auto Fill options are ticked by default. You cannot see this on the page, you have to press the small selector beside each option.
  21. Perhaps he means the start page??
  22. For people wondering what this poster is talking about, CCleaner now has a browser (in preview stage) It's similar to Avast secure browser. More info here. https://www.ccleaner.com/ccleaner/browser
