  1. Nothing. Thanks for at least trying. No one knows whats going on with my IE.
  2. Tell me if this helps. Original Page
  3. I'de take functionality any day over that fraction of a second By the way I use winamp
  4. Checked everything you said, restarted, but it didn't fix anything,
  5. Can extentions slow down page rendering? I know it might slow down the intial Firefox start up, but can it effect page rendering?
  6. Maybe now you'll clean up a bit more often.
  7. Just tested it, and not impressed. The installation is tricky, to say the least. Even though I followed all the instructions, it would not read my profile, so I ended up doing system restore. And then Firefox would not start. Ended up re-installing the official Firefox build, but at least it read my original profile. For the few minutes that it actually did work, it did not speed up surfing noticeably. Mabey by a few fractions of a second [edit] Found this thread, with lots and lots of Firefox tweaks.
  8. Foxy Tunes is another must have. I dont like the default skin, but you can download nicer ones on the same website. My favourite is Revolutions Lite which you can check out here, among others.
  9. 13 GB? MrG made CCleaner.
  10. This looks pretty cool. I havent tried it yet, but im planning on installing it later today. For those who don't want to click the link, their ''optimized'' firefox/mozilla/thunderbird builds.
  11. For some strange reason IE doesn't seem to want to install any active x controls. I re-formatted about 2 months ago. It's definetly not malware related, and has nothing to do with the security settings in IE or my firewall/av. Here's my thread in another forum, with everything that I have tried so far. For those too lazy to click this is basicly it: Running XP Pro SP2 (legit) When I try to install an active x control, nothing happens and I get Code Download Error logs in my temp folder. Used the M$ code error log veiwer Tried sfc /scannow Re-isntalling IE Checked the group policy editor. And a few other things, all of which are in the link at the beginning of the post. Thanks Im really stumped on this
  12. There's no way Norton beat NOD32 I've had some bad expiriences with Norton 2005. The uninstaller is horrible. It damaged IE and many other programs. I tried installing Avast an AVG but neither would run becuase of what Norton left behind. At one point my pc wouldn't boot. Ended up reformating ... If I can find my thread in another forum about all the problems I had I will post it. Oh, and mabey you should check out Syagte as a firewall.
