  1. Since the recent Feature update to Windows 10, version 1809, I have encountered the following issue when running the CCleaner Registry Cleaner:- Problem: Application Paths Issue Data: C:\Windows\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository\ki126109.inf_amd64_db6a2d083f3ea368\igfxEM.exe Registry Key: HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\AppCompatFlags\Compatibility Assistant\Store After fixing the issue, unfortunately the same issue reappears after a reboot. Any help would be appreciated'

  3. Since the Anniversary Update To Windows 10 Home Version 1607 (OS Build 14393.10) (KB3176929) has been applied, every time I run CCleaner v5.20.5668 (64-bit), I get the following message box appear:- Microsoft Edge Cache Database and Internet Explorer needs to be closed to clean the Internet Cache. Do you want CCleaner to close Microsoft Edge Cache Database and Internet Explorer? There is a box to tick - Do not show me this message again. As I use Google Chrome and not Microsoft Edge or Internet Explorer why does this message box appear? I have read the article in FAQ relating to this issue:- CCleaner isn’t able to clean files that are open in any program during the cleaning process. The databases that Edge uses to store data are also used by other programs on your computer to store their own information – these are normally system programs that use Edge’s functionality in order to access the internet. Therefore, if any of these are open and accessing Edge’s database whilst the clean is in progress, CCleaner will need to close the database in order for it to perform the clean. This is why the prompt will appear despite Edge being closed – a different program is accessing the Edge database. How can I find out which programs are accessing the Edge database? Also, what happens if I tick the box - Do not show me this message again, and then click YES to close the Microsoft Edge Cache Database and Internet Explorer? Any help and advice would be appreciated.
  4. Chrome cookies are not being deleted

Having the same problem with CCleaner 4.07.4369 (running under Windows XP Home SP3) not deleting chrome cookie macromedia.com even though both Internet Explorer and Google Chrome have Cookies ticked. For information, if I revert back to CCleaner 4.04.4197 then the chrome cookie macromedia.com is cleared. Look forward to this being resolved in future versions.
  5. not erase cookie

Hi MrT For information, if I revert back to CCleaner 4.04.4197 then the chrome cookie macromedia.com is cleared. I note this is the last version before NVIDIA cleaning was introduced which may or may not be a coincidence. Look forward to this being resolved in future versions.
  6. not erase cookie

When I click the cookie in CCleaner's cookies to remove/keep screen, the picture that is shown at the bottom of the screen is a Google Chrome symbol and a Flash symbol followed by macromedia.com Cookies are checked in both the Windows tab under the Internet Explorer heading and the Applications tab under the Google Chrome heading.
  7. not erase cookie

Having the same problem with CCleaner 4.06.4324 (running under Windows XP Home SP3) not deleting cookie macromedia.com even though both Internet Explorer and Google Chrome have Cookies ticked. Any help to solve this problem would be appreciated.
  8. Deleting Temporary Files?

Is CCleaner supposed to delete temporary files from the directories:- C:\Documents and Settings\[username]\Local Settings\Temp C:\WINDOWS\Temp I have [Temporary Files] ticked under [system] but files are not deleted from the above directories. I am running CCleaner version 2.32.1165 with Windows XP SP3
  9. Deleting Temporary Files?

ishan_rulz, thanks for your reply. I have found the setting about files not being deleted unless they are older than 24 hours. All seems OK now.
  10. I can confirm that the latest version 2.01.507 NOW DELETES all temporary internet files. Thanks Piriform for sorting out this problem.
  11. I would like to confirm that I have found exactly the same problem when I updated to version 2.00.500 - CCleaner doesn't delete all temporary internet files. I also have returned to version 1.41.544 which works like a dream, and will wait until this problem is sorted out before updating.
