  1. FINALLY!...Here is the solution. http://www.jimmah.com/vista/Applications/a...in_program.aspx Download and run the English program. It will resolve this issue for CCleaner and any other programs that are also not Windows Defender and Vista friendly.
  2. CCleaner 2.06.567 always prevented from auto running at Vista startup by Windows Defender. Open Defender, and unable to classify CCleaner as being 'permitted' to run at Vista startup. Initiate scan manually and CCleaner works fine. Have notice from threads that this Problem goes back April 2007.? Any solutions are appreciated
  3. Thanks for your help Andavari. Yes, I had installed the same VB as the File Name/Version/and Date all matched. Following your suggestions, I emptied IE browser Cache, cleared all Cookies, disabled AVG from the StartUp group, downloaded CC from your link provided and then rebooted. I then re-installed VB again immediately followed by installing CC. Everything installed perfectly and is now working fine. Thanks again!
  4. Installing CCleaner 1.40 on system with Windows 98SE, The Error Message during CC Installation appears: "Could not Find VB6 Runtime Files. To download these files from Microsoft click here." I have successfully downloaded and installed these VB6 files into a new Folder, C: "VB6". Running CC Installation again and the same error as above appears and can not continue. Help is appreciated, thank you!
